I’m totally into plaid this fall.  Today I’m sporting some plaid Brooks Brothers trousers and black suede Manolos.  I love plaid when done right…and it seems plaid is on trend this fall in fashion and for the home!

What do you think of a little plaid this fall?  Any of these items catch your eye.  Anything you have in your wardrobe or home that fits this trend? “Like” or “Dislike” this fad?

Happy Tuesday!

I love plaid in small doses, and pull out various blankets, fabrics and even pottery that I’ve collected over the years I lived in Scotland. Never all at once but a bit here and there is lovely.

I love plaid. I have a few pieces in my wardrobe but nothing in my home yet. I think small doses like a throw or some pillows look great – although I do love that wallpaper in the photo!

I have never been a fan of plaid. I do like the Vivian Westwood rug though. just a little peeking through under large furniture would be the right touch for fall!

This blog is always really fun – thanks so much!

I wonder about the console in the photo above, with the Westwood rug. It’s really great. Do you know anything about it?

Love the plaid shoes. Boy, Most Americans could wear those plaid pants. You have got to be skinny! They look good on those models.

It seems to me that I’ve been loving plaid since my very childhood. Such an unteresting trend – it can look so easy and cozy…or also it can look so chic!

I have to admit I’m not a huuuuge fan of plaid, but you’ve picked such gorgeous imagery I may be coming round to it!

The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. Soft, sculptural, and impossible to walk past without wanting to sit down. The rooms that get it right pair it with something unexpected: a dramatic mural, an antique screen, a city skyline, a hand-laid mosaic floor.

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo and follow for more. 🖤

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍
