FASHION FORWARD: GREEN, GREY & BLACK!

October 28, 2011

Two models from Les Copains' Fall 2011 Ready to Wear show. The model on the left is wearing a green sweater with a small belt at the waist and grey satin pants. The model on the right is wearing a black turtleneck sweater with a green skirt, green heels with grey socks

Need to do a little fall shopping. This color combo inspires me. I think I might look okay in a little jewel tone green, some wonderful rich grey and a pop of black. Hmmm…add to the to-do list…shop for fall… or errr not to seem too frivolous…I mean…to-do: stimulate the economy for fall with some green and grey purchases! 🙂

I like green and gray in the home too! Warm, rich, inviting…

model from Agnes B.'s Fall 2011 Ready to Wear show. She's wearing knee high black boots, a slightly oversized green sweater, a white skirt with green stripes at the bottom and a long black jacket

Perfect for fall! A grey Miu Miu coat, green Ksubi jeans and Burberry heels

What do you think? Would you rather use this color combination in home decor or when styling a look from your closet?

Happy Friday!

I love the green and grey duo – especially in the home. As the holidays approach I can think of dozens of ways to bring green into the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway areas of your home! Thanks for the post and the great ideas for green in the home.. My mind is already thinking.. 🙂

It is indeed a great combo 🙂
FYI the foyer belongs to Agnes Emery’s house in Brussels. She creates amazing tiles and objects: http://www.emeryetcie.com

I desperately need to go shopping, as an army of moths went through my wool pants and skirts for breakfast, fololwed by a lunch consisting of my wool dresses and dinner on my cashmeres… I think my mood calls for a little color.

I can’t do Kelly green for some reason. I love the softer mossy tones and lettuce hues, although at High Point the hue was pure Chartreuse mixed with saturated peacock blues.
    Best,

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. đź–¤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. đź—ż
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
