What I Wore in Paris: An Effortless Denim Look

November 5, 2026
  • Share

Paris is always a good place to get a little inspiration for personal style. When it comes to Paris outfit ideas, I love looks that feel comfortable, effortless, and polished without trying too hard. Whether walking along the city streets, stopping for coffee, or simply taking in the architecture, I gravitate toward outfits that are easy to wear but still feel put together.

For one of my days in Paris, I went with a combination of relaxed denim, a slightly oversized bomber jacket, and a few classic accessories. It was an easy outfit, but each piece brought something different to the look.

The Denim: Pleated Jeans

The starting point for this outfit was a pair of pleated jeans by Rachel Comey. I love the volume and shape of these jeans. The wide-leg silhouette gives them a relaxed feel, while the pleats add a little structure and make them more interesting than your everyday denim.

I paired them with off-white Stuart Weitzman boots, which added a lighter element to the outfit. The combination of the deep blue denim and off-white footwear felt simple and easy to wear.

The Jacket: A Khaki Funnel-Neck Bomber

For the top, I wore a khaki funnel-neck bomber jacket. The slightly cropped shape and relaxed fit gave the outfit a casual, laid-back feel.

I layered it over a black turtleneck, letting the ribbed neckline peek out above the jacket. I like how the darker layer creates contrast against the khaki outerwear. It also makes the outfit feel a little more put together without adding too many elements.

Funnel-neck jackets are a great layering piece, especially when the weather calls for something warm but you don’t want to wear a heavy coat.

The Accessories: Celine and Chanel

Accessories can make a simple outfit feel complete. I finished this look with Celine sunglasses and a Chanel tote bag.

The black Chanel bag, with its gold chain detail, added a classic element to the more relaxed combination of denim and outerwear. The Celine sunglasses kept things understated and polished.

I like mixing casual pieces with classic accessories. It makes an outfit feel more personal and less like everything was bought as part of one look.

Getting Dressed in Paris

This is the kind of outfit I find myself reaching for when traveling. Comfortable enough for a day of walking around the city, but still stylish enough for an impromptu lunch or a stop at a beautiful café.

If you’re looking for Paris outfit ideas that are easy to recreate, consider starting with a great pair of wide-leg jeans, a versatile jacket, and comfortable boots. Add a few timeless accessories to pull everything together.

Sometimes, getting dressed is simply about finding the right balance between relaxed and polished.

xoxo, Coco 💛

The secret is simple: choose a cabinet color you love, add a floor with some pattern, and keep storage hidden or tucked into baskets. Light or dark, each of these rooms proves a hardworking space can still feel warm and personal.

Paneled oak built-ins frame the living room, herringbone floors run into a kitchen with a marble backsplash and caned counter stools, and the terrace kitchen pairs a fluted island with terracotta tile. From an empty room to a cozy, layered living spaceFrom an empty room to a cozy, layered living space. 🤎
A little vision, a few thoughtful design choices, and the right textiles can completely change the feel of a room.
For this living room concept, we brought in the COCOCOZY Kip Rug to anchor the space and the COCOCOZY Quatrefoil Linen Pillows to add pattern, texture, and a touch of timeless charm.
We love how the warm caramel sofa, olive green accents, natural wood, and brass details come together to create a space that feels both inviting and elevated.
This is a room concept, imagined to showcase how COCOCOZY textiles and details can transform a space.
What do you think of the transformation? Would you live here? 🤎

A country contemporary farmhouse in Lincoln, MA, f A country contemporary farmhouse in Lincoln, MA, full of antiques, pattern, and natural texture. 🏡
A plaster chimney rises into the vaulted living room above a reclaimed-wood mantel. Lantern pendants and copper pots set the tone in the kitchen. The powder room goes all in on floral wallpaper and a gilt mirror. Grasscloth walls wrap a guest room with a built-in reading nook, and the bunk room is all sage beadboard and gingham. Old pieces and clean architecture work together, so the house feels collected, not decorated.
