Seek creative ideas: Nashville Country Charm with a Minimalist Twist

April 18, 2022
  • Share

When you see the phrase “country charm” what does it mean to you? Do you think of a humble farmhouse? Or a rustic cottage? This Nashville home is full of country charm, but not in the way you might think. Country singer, Kasey Musgraves, gave the world a look inside her Nashville sanctuary.  This minimalist home feels like it belongs in Los Angeles. However, if you take a closer look at the details, you will notice hints of country charm.

The photo above is Musgraves’ go-to room for creative inspiration. The blush tone living room has velvet built-in seating. She added vintage French cocktail tables to contrast the pink hue. You can also see a photo of her mother hanging in the corner.

The entry hallway of her home.

From the moment you step into the house, you will see different textures and glamourous details. This space features a vintage Murano glass globe light. It hangs in front of an antique Moroccan mirror, and mid-century stools.

The all-white family room.

She kept the home decor very clean and neutral. Everything is the same color palette, but she uses unique textures like woods and stones to avoid making the room look too sterile. The room features a vintage Maitland-Smith cocktail table and a Verellen sofa.

Globes and orbs are a common theme throughout the home. This space features a late 19th-century table and a hand-knotted Moroccan checkerboard rug.

The most unique room of the house is the power room. It’s decorated with vintage nude sketches paper all over the walls.

The Nashville pad was originally built in 2012. It was full of wallpaper patterns and bold color schemes. Musgraves teamed up with interior designer, Lindsay Rhodes, to transform the home into a tranquil country abode for a country superstar. They wanted the house to have dimension, which is why they chose muted warm tones. It might be the first time I’ve seen a Nashville home designed with a Los Angeles-style minimalist twist. What do you think?

This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris wa This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris was designed to function as both a home and a gallery and the distinction between the two is impossible to find.
Every room treats art and objects with the same weight as furniture, nothing is decorative for its own sake, everything is placed with intention.
The Haussmannian bones, ornate cornicing, herringbone parquet, original stained glass ceiling, stay intact throughout. Natural and handcrafted materials do the rest.

This new collection feels like such a beautiful evolution. Inspired by their Manhattan Flower District showroom, it brings together the romance of classic decorative arts with a fresh, modern perspective in a way that feels bold, artistic, and incredibly thoughtful.
If you are attending ICFF 2026, make sure to stop by Booth W1048 and experience Petal Promenade in person. Congratulations, Kristi and Wendy. This collection is truly something special. ✨

Classic Haussmannian grandeur on one end, sculptural modern interiors on the other; same iconic backdrop, seven entirely different ways to live with it.

The approach was deliberate restraint: restored cornices kept intact, stained oak floors, limestone tones, a mix of vintage furniture and contemporary silhouettes. Every choice earning its place. The light does the rest. Bouncing off mirrors, moving through the neutral walls across the day. 🔅
