Green Small Kitchen – Remodel Inspo

June 20, 2017

I love love love this green small kitchen with black and white checkered marble floors designed by blogger Gwen Hefner of The Makerista. So well designed.  Apparently, she and her husband took charge of making over their outdated kitchen last year.  They took a normal small kitchen and gave it an extremely luxe feel with green cabinets, black pendant lights, quartz countertops, and more.  Click below to tour the full space and see what it looked like before!

BEFORE – The kitchen’s honey-colored wood cabinets were nice but not noteworthy. It looked like any other regular kitchen. The transformation from this to a green kitchen, however, is noteworthy. What a great way to style the house!

Adding Green to the Kitchen

I’ve always thought about painting my kitchen green and with the recent rise in popularity of green kitchens, it seems like a better and better idea! Green kitchens can add warmth and luxury to the home. It would go so well with making the house feel more homey. I can’t imagine a better way to design and style a kitchen. There are very few colors out there with this much versatility, so we must take advantage of that! You want the space where you cook and eat to feel cozy and homey.

Adding green to a kitchen is one of many ways to completely redo its look and feel. Adding some light hues to the cabinets or the countertops can make you feel immersed in the nature scene. Whether you choose something of a darker shade or maybe you like light pastel colors, a green kitchen is an amazing way to elevate the home and make it feel more relaxing.

If you’re interested in exploring more options for painting the kitchen green, check out the color palettes here. There is a whole spectrum of greens to choose from! And pairing it with the right colors, such as white, nude, beige, or navy can make the space look as it feels.

The different shades and hues of green in these kitchens looked so much better than the before picture. Adding some green to the kitchen truly does elevate the room, making the seem quite luxurious. No matter the size of the space you’re working with, this color is so versatile you can’t go wrong. It also matches amazingly well with so many types of interior design choices. Whether it’s mid-century, rustic, modern, or whatever else, adding some green to the kitchen will fit right in. That extra pop of color is a great addition to any house.

What do you think of Gwen’s kitchen?  Leave a comment below.  I LOVE IT!  Well done.

I love looking at your pictures but before I can even get a good look at the details; the pop up comes up to share and for some reason then I can’t get rid of it. I have to say it’s very frustrating; is there something I can do to get rid of it, please let me know.

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
