#HPMKT & COCOCOZY RUGS

Light blue COCOCOZY Loop Rug at Century Furniture Showroom at High Point Market in North Carolina
A COCOCOZY Loop Rug in light blue in a display vignette at the prestigious Century Furniture Showroom at High Point Market in North Carolina! (above)

It is Monday morning.  I look like a very tired but very happy wreck!  Disheveled, bleary eyed, with a huge bright smile on my face.  You may ask…”Why Coco do you look so tired and so happy?” or you may just think, “I wonder why this blogger girl has such a serious case of OSS (Over Sharing Syndrome)…she shares everything…?”

Anyhoooo….Got back from High Point Market in North Carolina late last night (Twitter and Instagram hashtag is #hpmkt).  A 24 hour whirlwind trip to show the COCOCOZY Rug Collection at the furniture trade show/market where retailers and designers buy goods for their stores and clients.  Market also gives press a chance to preview new furniture launches and see the latest in home furnishings.

As most of you know, my rug collection launched in April with Capel Rugs (America’s oldest privately owned rug manufacturer and importer).  The folks at Capel have been wonderful partners…they took my designs and made them into beautiful luxurious hand knotted Indo-Tibetan wool rugs.  The market has responded really nicely to the collection over the last few months and we were named by a trade magazine as “one of the most popular rug launches of summer 2013”!

Anyhooo….was doing a little tour of the prestigious Century Furniture Showroom in High Point just yesterday when I spotted a COCOCOZY Loop Rug in light blue in one of their vignettes! Was so much fun to see one of my rugs in such a cute setting.  Ron Bristrow, showroom manager over at Capel loaned it out to Amanda who runs Century’s showroom just for this October market! They also put our apple green Quatrefoil Rug right in Century’s elevator entrance!  Was fun to see the loads and loads of designers and buyers looking at the rugs in a different showroom!

Will share more from High Point on COCOCOZY Twitter and COCOCOZY Instagram!  Please make sure to follow me there @COCOCOZY!  Oh I accidentally took a half selfie (mom, a selfie is a self portrait photo fyi…readers, I know she will be asking “What is a selfie?” so I am nipping this one right in the bud) while coveting a cute mirror from Made Goods.  If you want to see half of me and the mirror, check out my Instagram.

Alrighty…hope you had a good weekend too!

Happy Monday!

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
