Kitchen Backsplash Idea – Mix & Match Wood Wall Tiles

Quilt like pattern of wood wall tiles used for a modern kitchen backsplash

Was doing my normal shopping on One Kings Lane the other day and I came across a blog post story there featuring a great mix and match kitchen backsplash idea using painted wood wall tiles from Mirth Studio!

Such a great idea to create a patchwork look on a kitchen backsplash and love these painted wood wall tiles.  Mirth Studio, a South Carolina based company founded by artist and entrepeneur Sally Bennett, specializes in making a collection of painted wood floor tiles that are easy to install…now the Mirth team offers amazing wood wall tiles.  I mentioned last year that I have my own COCOCOZY collection of wood floor tiles with Mirth Studio.  So honored that Sally and team have also taken COCOCOZY patterns and made them into floor tiles, wall tiles and stair risers!

Need a quick and good looking fix to sprucing up your kitchen backsplash? These wood wall tiles are clearly a fantastic answer!

All that is needed is measuring tape to figure out correct tile spacing, a pencil to mark the wall, liquid nail to apply to back of tiles so they stick to walls, and a soft mallet to gently tap tiles in place.

What do you think of this kitchen backsplash idea? Where else might you install these wood wall tiles in your home?

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Just smiling this morning as I think back on last weekend. Had a marvelous time with Mom, my big sis DS, TE, his son EE, ET and JG in my home town having a nice brunch. Was fun to have everyone together on a lovely day. TE and I ended the day with a nice cozy dinner at my house. Nice weekend. We are already half way through the week! Cannot believe it!

Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
