LET THE SUNSHINE IN THE FORM OF A MIRROR!

July 13, 2011

Mirror with the frame made out of metal rods arranged in a circle
Mecox Gardens – Metal Rod Mirror – $1200 (above)

I am not typically a fan of the ever so trendy sunburst mirrors…but this one by Made Goods (sold at Mecox Gardens) does work for me. Love it. It is called the Dawn mirror and it is fashioned after a vintage bracelet. J’adore the detail of all of the spindles, the antique brass finish and the overall look of this mirror. I need one…where would I put it…not clear…but I would like one of these.

So have been in haze over the last few days…not quite feeling too well…can’t tell whether it is a cold or allergies about to hit…I am fighting getting sick tooth and nail…I cannot be sick…I cannot…I need to be on my toes for the next week or so!

Well so in my random logic that only makes sense to me…thought this fab mirror could help let a little sunshine peak through my haze (along with some Emergen-C, lots of vitamin C and water)!:-)

Do you like the above mirror…or do you not like?  What do you think my friends?!?  Well?

Happy Wednesday!

xo

P.S.  I leave for Atlanta tomorrow to show the COCOCOZY collection (will be bringing three new throw designs with me).  Please come by and see me if you are going to Atlanta for the gift fair.  I’ll be at the Christian Mosso Associates showroom inside the Merchandise Mart at 240 Peachtree Street Suite 9B7, Atlanta!  So excited!  Hope to meet many of you there.

This one’s not too bad. I dont mind sunburst mirrors I just think they have been overdone, dont you? We spot an easy trend and everyone hops on the bandwagon…will be glad to see them go. feel better and safe travels

I agree – I think they are over-done and don’t love them all, but I ADORE this one. Very unique

I think for me it depends on the size of the mirror. Big sunburst is overdone, but I think a smaller version as part of an eclectic vignette would be cute!
    Good luck in Atlanta!

It’s certainly one of if not the nicest of its breed! I too, avoid the fun trendy purchases, but this would proove to be timeless.

I love the mirror! What a great alternative to the sunburst mirror- while they are overdone, they do make a great statement on the wall. So, this is the perfect solution! Enjoy Atlanta! Stay inside, it is HOT here!

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
