LONNY LOVE!

May 10, 2012

Coco's faves for Lonny Magazine
Me and my faves in May 2012 Lonny Magazine! (above)

Today is a good day for COCOCOZY!  Was so excited to open today’s latest Lonny Magazine and see the Blogger Style page with all of my favorite picks in fashion and home decor.

I love Lonny Magazine.  If you don’t know it, Lonny is the online interior design/shelter magazine founded by Editor-in-Chief Michelle Adams, and super talented photographer Patrick Cline. It is absolute eye candy for home decor enthusiasts, fashion aficionados or anyone who loves anything to do with design and style!

Lonny has been very kind to COCOCOZY over the last year.  When I first launched the COCOCOZY textiles collection in 2011…the magazine was so sweet to do a little feature on my new collection in the July/Aug. 2011 issue.  And now, they were nice enough to ask me about my faves!  The team at Lonny has been so supportive and I am truly grateful.

I just met Michelle officially this last January at the COCOCOZY booth at the New York International Gift Fair (we had met briefly a few other times).  She was so nice.  There are some people who have been really fantastic to COCOCOZY over the last year…she is one of them.

It was so much fun putting together a list for them…things I like, things I own, things I’ve made and things I covet!

Also, this issue of the magazine features some GORGEOUS homes, interiors and furnishings.  I will have to read it several times to take in all of the goodness.

So check out the last two pages of the magazine to see my picks…also you’ll see more of me than you’ve ever seen before because they asked for a photo and not a sketch.  (I think they thought the sketch I’ve been using looks like something out of the witness protection program).  So this weekend, my sister DS took this photo of me on my deck and now it is in the magazine!  Still not the full reveal…as I am still leading my double life (executive by day…blogger/textiles designer by night)!

Have you read Lonny?  What is your favorite in this month’s Lonny magazine?  What other design magazines do you love?  Do tell!

Thank you to Michelle Adams and team for featuring COCOCOZY in Lonny!  I can’t tell you how much it means to me.  They are so nice.

Happy Thursday!

P.S.  Last night I went with friend and super talented interior designer Alison Blumenfeld of Blumenfeld Interiors to an event at the stunning Rose Tarlow’s Melrose House showroom for the La Cienega Design Quarter week events here in Los Angeles.  A lovely party indeed.  Lots of design folk and lots of my favorite champagne – Veuve Clicquot – all in a chic elegant setting.

I JUST got done browsing through the mag and am anxious for this evening when I can settle in and take a closer look to all the gloriousness that is Lonny. CONGRATS on a beautiful spread.

Congrats, congrats! I love Lonny magazine, can’t wait to check out your feature. So funny about your sketch, I thought it looked like an art sketch on that mother’s day gift idea post. Mmmm and that champagne looks so delicious and cute tied with the orange ribbon.
Off to check out the latest issue now. Congrats again!

YAYYyyyy – great job!! Lonny is fab isnt it? My favorite was a semi-local idol, Christy Ford’s house in this edition (your last pic of the neutral room). I love her and her mother’s style and their store! I had to do another post on it too.

your life looks so fun 🙂 enjoy the weekend!!

I’ve been so curious to see what you look like! You’re as cute as I’ve imagined..although you’re maintaining some mystery hiding behind the card…Congratulations on all your successes, and thanks for sharing all the fun and excitement!

A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. A great parquet floor doesn’t just ground a room. It tells you everything about the history of the space. The patina, the pattern, the way light moves across it. These are the rooms that prove good bones never go out of style.

Designer Emma Donnersberg took her own Paris apartment in the 7th arrondissement and used it to rewrite the rules — classical bones, contemporary everything else. Her Wave Sofa and U&Me Table anchor the living room in organic curves. In the kitchen, a green ceramic-wrapped island does the heavy lifting for color against all that neutral stone. And the dining room? A Carrara travertine fireplace that turns stone into the whole point of the room.
Curved, curated, and completely hers. 🤍

A little peek at one of my favorite outdoor spaces, which I designed years ago. The patterned tile, navy seating, white stucco, and layers of greenery make this balcony feel like a little room all its own.
I love how much personality you can create in a small outdoor space without making it feel overcrowded.

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎
