When I heard word last night about fashion designer Oscar de la Renta’s passing at age 82, I paused for a moment. Everything went silent. I was in my car. It was so quiet. I don’t know why but I’ve always admired Oscar de la Renta the most out of all fashion designers – his work was timeless and enchanting. I was sad for the loss but also humbled in recognizing that even the seemingly immortal are all but human.
Very rare to find a person who touches so many people with grace and charm and elegance…Mr. de la Renta was one it seems.
