Today, I bring to you a Lake Austin Texas home from Ryan Street Architects and Mark Ashby Design. Love this modern Southwestern style. Rustic but not fussy. A very contemporary home that brings together everything that is so wonderful about the Southwest (New Mexico, Arizona, Texas) – a hint of both Spanish and Native American styles with rustic textures thrown in. The rust, rich brown, tan and white color palette work for me. Pretty.
With Austin being the epicenter of all things cool, this elegantly designed home fits right in it seems.
Note to self, must get to Austin!

The home is stunning and so thoughtfully appointed. While Austin is certainly a very cool place, Texas has it’s own unique flavor and style. We in New Mexico consider the true SW to be Arizona, Utah, Colorado and NM. Texas can stand on it’s own.
