PINK & GREEN BEACH BUNGALOW

More design inspiration from my visit to the Playa Grande Beach Club in the Dominican Republic. Check out earlier posts this week…but I just got home from a 5 day 4 night vacation with my best of friend AM, her husband JE, friend MR and their kids. AM and JE are co-owners of a 1 bedroom bungalow and a 3 bedroom bungalow there…so I was so lucky to be invited as their guests to a wonderful visit there.

During our stay, we toured some of the other bungalows on the beautiful beachfront property. Each beach bungalow is decorated with a light airy whimsical touch that is Caribbean style meets a bit of Palm Beach! NYC designer Celerie Kemble and her husband Boykin Curry invented this paradise boutique island resort. It was Celerie and the Kemble Interiors team who conceptualized and sourced every detail (so nice meeting Jenny from the Kemble team who was at the resort when I was there!).

Anyhooo…one afternoon, MR and best of friend AM and I took one of the 5 year old girls and toured one of the bungalows on the property that is for rent. Each beach bungalow is color themed…this particular one was in pale green, pink and white.

This pastel Caribbean beach bungalow was so darling. Like all of the other buildings on the property, this guest suite boasts the signature colorful shutter door and the carved woodwork. Caribbean style at its best. The pastels make this little bungalow very preppy chic as well.

Oh Playa Grande. Oh Play Grande. When can I go back?
