According to the Wall Street Journal, this 25 acre, 27,000 square foot real estate listing in the tony Dallas, Texas neighborhood called Preston Hollow is now listed at $100 million dollars. The property has been on the market for a few years. The home was first listed at $135 million dollars and offered only to private buyers. It wasn’t sold. Now, a few years later it is being publicly listed for a whopping $100 million dollars.
The four story mansion has all of the bells and whistles including seven bedrooms, 13 baths, a huge pool, movie theater, recreation complex, wine cellar and more. There is a guest house, pool house and main house connected by gardens. The home has a grand limestone exterior.
The current owner, Texas business man, Tom Hicks bought the house in 1997 and then spent three years making improvements. Now this real estate listing is the most expensive home on the market in Dallas.
According to the former listing agent’s website, the home was designed by architect Maurice Fatio in the 1939s and then renovated by architect Peter Marino in 2000. This house is nestled in a neighborhood filled with ex-presidents (George W. Bush and Laura call this their home) and weveral billionaires.
The former real estate agent Douglas Newby even made a video featuring the home if you want to see more, click here for the Crespi/Hicks estate video.
Let’s see, will have to muse here. I have not ever really been to Dallas if you can believe it. The question is, if someone gave me this estate, would I move from Los Angeles and live there? Hmmm…thinking…? You??
Happy Wednesday!

Move there from Los Angeles? Or from Scottsdale? From Aspen? From Hilton Head? From paradise? IN A HEART BEAT!! I haven’t seen this estate in person, but from the many photos of the house and particularly of the grounds I’ve seen over the last year or two….this is paradise no matter where it is. I’m not even the slightest bit jealous that I could never afford it, I’m just happy it exists!
