When I ran across this rustic cabin makeover I knew I had to cover it! This New Hampshire cabin is completely off the grid. Alice Saunder knew immediately once she saw it that it was going to be hers. With the help of her boyfriend, they turned this bare-bones cabin into a sanctuary. It was no easy task. The cabin had no electricity, running water or even cell reception. The end result is simply amazing! It makes me want to go buy a rustic cabin right now.
The exterior of the cabin screams fall! It looks so cozy and tucked away. I would love to run away from deadlines to this dreamy cabin with no wifi. The tall trees and leaves frame the cabin beautifully. They have a great backyard space to entertain and explore. Plus that porch – The perfect place to lounge with a cup of coffee!
THE KITCHEN BEFORE AND AFTER
This before image gives a crazy look into the interior of the cabin before it was renovated. It was clearly in dire need of some help. Everything was very dated and past it’s prime.
The end result is breathtaking! The redone kitchen is the perfect combination of modern and vintage-inspired. Plus, the neutral palette turns this space into an oasis.
A WIDER VIEW
This image shows off the entryway, kitchen, and a hint of the bedroom. This view really captures the look and feel of the cabin. The walls and ceiling create a cozy feeling white the white walls keep the space bright and light. This cabin has been fully transformed into an artistic-neutral-cozy escape.
Another look into the kitchen shows how they store all of their kitchen supplies. The shelving and cabinets really add to the rustic feeling. The space feels curated with important items that both are useful and add joy. The hints of dried plants are a nice touch!
THE LIVING SPACE
The living space in this cabin is to-die-for. The arched ceiling creates a higher ceiling – making the room feel larger. Plus the windows add a great amount of light. The rug and sofa combination makes a beautiful color palette. Plus that fireplace looks incredibly cozy. I can imagine lounging here on a cool fall night by the fire reading a book.
THE DINING ROOM
This dark space has been transformed into a dreamy dining room area. The corner booth creates a causal and homey feeling. This looks like such a great place to entertain friends/guests and laugh all evening. The mix of a white bench and a dark table/chair works well.
AN AIRY WHITE BEDROOM
This first view of the bedroom shows off the entrance and the windows. The little details like the rug, bag, and hanging items make this room feel complete. I love the all-white bedding in contrast to all of the warm colors.
The bedding looks so comfortable and homey. I love the casual approach to designing this cabin. Everything feels thought about and without being too put together. The addition of wood furniture balances out all of the white and looks nice with wood accents in the ceiling.
The deck space has had a makeover just like the rest of the cabin. The addition of the rug, bench, chairs, and potted plants creates a stunning space ready to delight. The perfect space to have a morning cup of coffee or eat a meal.
THE GUEST ROOM
When they have house guests and the weather is good they set up this stunning tent as a guest room. The perfect solution to give guests their own space that ties in perfectly with the rustic cabin theme. The all-white tent makes it look extra luxurious. The interior of the tent was not neglected – the rug, side table, and bedding turn this space into a relaxing oasis.
Just when you thought this cabin couldn’t get any cuter – there is also a lake. The perfect area to have a picnic, go canoeing and enjoy nature. I will be dreaming about this photo! Such a picturesque moment to savor.
