Here it is! My holiday table setting inspired by rustic simplicity. I had so much fun putting this together and I’m beyond happy with how it turned out. It is the perfect layered, rustic, and relaxed table. I hope you find some inspiration from it.

Here is a peek at the mood board I created while I was concepting out which items I wanted to use, creating a color palette, and solidifying my ideas. This helped immensely in creating such a simple yet elaborate table setting. I highly recommend you make your own mood board before jumping into the table design.

My inspiration for this tablescape started with the table cloth. It is a ticking stripe in a neutral tone. It’s the perfect base for building a country-themed table setting. I recommend picking one thing like a plate or tablecloth and grounding your design around that piece.

When I found these candlesticks I knew they would be the perfect addition to my tablescape. They are a lot larger/taller than I anticipated them being but they look great and add a new level to the table design overall. The wood adds a nice warmth to the design and complements the centerpiece. I also added in two white ceramic birds to add in a touch of white.

When I design a table I tend to use a lot of greenery. The greenery makes people feel warm, at home, and cozy. I used various heights of greenery in order to really create a layered look with a few focal points.

The glassware is one of my favorite details. They have little bumble bees on them. There are green glasses and wine glasses. They add the perfect dash of charm and whimsey. These glasses also ended up doubling as vases!

Next, I found these fantastic light blue ceramic plates. They have more of a romantic feeling with the soft edges. When I saw them with the table cloth in mind it gave me such a french country feeling – which is exactly what I am going for. I really enjoy creating layered tables that have multiple details. Layering the salad plate on top creates the perfect mini focal point.

I really love how the tablecloth, plates, flatware, and glassware all tie together. The colors, shapes, and finishes complement each other so well!

One of the coolest things I found while shopping is this flatware. You select your initial and they come in less than two days stamped with your monogram. I think it adds a classic feel while having some shine.

This tray is great because it has a hint of brass. I’m a big believer that mixing metals can look great – I never shy away from it. I was concerned about tying in the wood between the candlesticks and this tray but in the end, they are a perfect match. I through in a few pinecones to play off the holiday theme.

Another great find is these napkin holders. They add the perfect amount of gleam and it instantly makes your napkins more luxurious looking. A good tip is to always try to add a touch of sparkle/gleam to your table.

I cannot wait for the holidays to arrive so I can show off this table setting to my family and friends at our gathering. I know they will love it!
