The wood paneled library with arched windows and fireplace in a multi million dollar NYC listing. (above) |
What do you get for $23 million dollars on the Upper East Side of New York City? Let’s see…a home for sale with 6,700 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 .5 baths, a few staff rooms, hardwood floors, high ceilings and a total blank canvas to make into a home of your own.
This NYC co-op is listed by Sotheby’s International Realty and I think they made the right choice not to stage it with a bunch of furniture. I like the idea of dreaming and envisioning how this home could look with just the right furniture and an endless decorating budget…one can dream…right?
So today I bring you a multi million dollar listing in New York in SEE THIS HOUSE:
The foyer with a grand stair case! (above) |
Love the parquet wood floors and the chandeliers in this fab living room. (above) |
A well appointed kitchen with Carara marble counters, stainless steel appliances, wood floors and recessed panel white cabinets. (above and below) |
The dining room or could make a nice family room with the fireplace. (above) |
A very large master bedroom with fantastic sunlight, paneled walls and decorative molding. (above) |
More marble, a drop in tub and a clear glass enclosed shower in the chic master bath. (above) |
The floor plan for a $23 million dollar city apartment! (above) |
Where do I find $23 million immediately? So I always ask…would you take this apartment or leave it? If you had the millions, would you be more inclined to buy it if it were staged with furniture or do you like it as a blank canvas? What do you think? Like or dislike? I must know!
I would take this apartment in a heart beat! It is elegant, simple, classic, not a lot of frills. Perfect I think. No questions (except where would I get $23 million)…I would just sign on the dotted line. Here’s to dreaming…
Happy Friday!

P.S. Pretty morning here in the hills…cloudy, a little over cast…I have two meetings before 9a (a call and a meeting) and then off to work…must run!
P.P.S. Don’t miss the post announcing the COCOCOZY Giveaway winners below.
I is very pretty, but for me it would be too large and I’m not a fan of carara marble.
WOW.. that apartment is absolutely fantastic.
Uhhh yea. That’s pretty amazing! I like the dining room the most. I mean, my entire apt could probably fit in that room. Insane!

this is perfect. white kitchen, wood floors, and a library. so amazing. now all i have to do is win the lottery.
Here’s my POV (not an expert by any means….just experienced) the place is fantastic, but for that price tag they need to sell it. As in….stage the crap outta that place. Sell the life that is meant to go with owning it.
That’s not to say they won’t sell it as is, butI believe not only would it sell faster, it would probably sell for more.
Just little ole’ me and my two cents worth.
The library makes me swoon!! I love it. Yes, I’d love to find $23 million too!!
OMG, what a big, beautiful canvas. That place is pretty much perfect.
The Aestate
740 Park is the most prestigious building in the city! Even if you have 23 mil in cash you have to pass the strictest of Co-op boards!..but I’d take this beauty in a flash — don’t know if they’d let me in!
This apartment is perfection. I’d take it in a heartbeat for $23 Mil, just the way it is.
I’m a Carrera Marble lover! This kitchen and bathroom are elegant and beautiful! But for $23 gazillion, they ought to be, right? Thanks for sharing!
I was in a brand-new townhouse in Vancouver about 6 years ago that looked very much like this apartment. Gorgeous wood floors, high ceilings, fireplaces, marble kitchen and baths, wood-panelled library, etc. And it was only $950,000 then (probably about $1.5 million now). Damn, I shoulds snapped it up!
take it, absolutely! love the wide hallways and the floors.
My bad, I love the “gallery”-I guess there are no “hallways” in a $23 mil home, right!? Because if you are buying you have $23 mil in artwork as well :)!
Stunning! I would definitely take it. It would be fun to design rooms that enormous. I generally dislike staged rooms because I don’t like how they’re furnished.
Wow stunning! Wish I could live here!
Gorgeous!
I think it’s better that they didn’t stage it. It’s 740 Park Avenue. It will sell.
Rarely do apartments come up for sale in that building.
And like She’s Going To The Dogs said, that co-op is very tough. So even if you have the money no problem, good luck getting accepted by the board.
If only …. :)))

It was the butler, in the library! (wouldn’t this make a great murder mystery party setting?) If only I could ever dream of having money like that to spend! Beautiful home, just beautiful. http://www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
O_O Omg, this home!!! @ Ivan *sigh* lol yes if only!!!
