Introducing Apparatus Studio, a modern light company I have been admiring from afar. Known for their bespoke line of light fixtures, they also offer objects and furniture pieces. For the purpose of today’s post, we will just be focusing on their absolutely stunning assortment of lighting. The photo above shows off one of their breathtaking wall sconces. In this interior, they really tie the room together and add the perfect level of style. 

A foyer makeover was on my list of things to do for the end of August. I’m thrilled that I finally figured out how to design it. The entryway to my house is small but well defined. The area just ended up a bit forgotten, I never thought of doing anything with it until I partnered with Home Depot. I’m doing a fall refresh for my house and it includes a guest room makeover (coming soon!) and updating my foyer!

If I had to describe my style, it’s a mix of traditional and modern, so I love a rustic modern home. This home from Kate Marker Interiors is the perfect combination of bright and neutral. Tall ceilings and larger than life chandeliers define this rustic home.

I am all for a home with a proper foyer. A separate entry hall or space on the inside of the front door is so important to me. During my on going house hunt, I have immediately nixed the spaces that do not have a proper foyer. I know everyone is all for open floor plans these days but I am celebrant of a properly defined foyer space.

Anyhooo….saw this little foyer in an apartment and LOVED it. I love the foyer foliage wallpaper. The green and white wallpaper defines the space and sets the tone for the cute but simply decorated apartment beyond the front door area. A great way to greet guests I believe. Oooh just had a thought about a textile pattern. Thinking about my next collection of rugs and this wallpaper and foyer has inspired me!
