When I told the Samantha and Barry Nugent I was looking for photos from any of my friends of their favorite vignette of their houses, this is the photo they so kindly sent of a corner of the living room in their Cheviot Hills home (in Los Angeles) …
Samantha and Barry are collectors of art…and they say that one of their design tips and keys to decorating their living space is changing out the art on a frequent basis. Samantha says this makes the feel and look of the room change with each piece of art (she has an art background and has successfully worked in the art field for many years).
On this day when the photo was taken, their living room was host to a wonderful Donald Baechler black and white print – a modern floral.
I think the Baechler is the perfect picture for this room…a true compliment to the living room’s decor…modern but soft, detailed but simple, carefully designed but inviting.
