SHOP WATCH: NEO VINTAGE DECOR!

Second SHOP WATCH of the week!

So after my Sandra Bullock/Brenda Antin store experience, and a much needed eyebrow appointment, last Saturday at 5:30pm, I decided to make one more stop on Melrose to a vintage store I had been to before.  Well when I pulled up to the store I know on Melrose, I actually ended up inside of a  newer store right next door that I had never been in before.

This tiny store is called Neo Vintage Decor.  There is only a small sign in the window saying the name.  It turns out the shop opened in November or December of last year.  It is run by its charming owner Shawn who happens to be a production accounting guy who decided to open up a vintage shop on the side.  Lots of good retro vintage finds (some traditional, some quirky and cool)…great prices…a fantastic treasure hunt of sorts.  I was obsessed with an etagere  in the window and a metal bench with swan head details (I know, sounds strange but it was cute).

A very cute small vintage shop in the heart of Hollywood on Melrose. Off the beaten path a bit but worth a little trek. You might find something you like!

Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just full, total, committed red.

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
