My favorite thing about this small Swedish apartment is how it shows off its style. I like how it proves you can have big style in a small space.
It is located on the third floor a building built in 1904. A open floor plan with heigh ceilings. 500 square feet with two bedrooms and one bath. It was recently sold on Stadshem for around $315KUSD.
My first thought about the space was how inviting it is. The open floor plan was executed beautifully. The movement from the kitchen to the seating area all the way into the bedroom entrance is very fluid. Of course with the apartments big, bright windows, it is nice to see some plants. The plant life brings another element of movement and life to this apartment. There is no lack of style in this tiny Swedish apartment. Indeed, it is a small apartment with big style.
The Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen with its white square tile backsplash and contrasting black grout, open shelves, and an island bar that serves as the apartments dining room it is a great use of space. The wood counters and stoles are a nice touch to the otherwise black and white color palette and match the wooden flooring perfectly.
I am a big fan of the open shelving that is used in this kitchen. It shows off the minimalist nature of this Swedish apartment while adding storage. Similarly, I like the white farmhouse sink and the subtle faucet attachment.
The Seating Area
Very cute and fresh. Even with only room for one sofa, it is so nicely styled with two small round coffee tables in white, and with a brass bar cart dressed with accessories. I love the chunky grey throw for cold nights that lays over the coach. The neutrals and blues in the seating area keeps a clean aesthetic, but is very welcoming.
Certainly, the lighting from sunrise to sunset must be gorgeous with those large windows. It helps that there are no curtains to block the natural lighting.
Finally, I like how we can see into the bedroom all the way from the kitchen. It creates a beautiful line of movement in the apartment which allows all of this style to work so well.
I love all of the exposed bulb hanging light fixtures too. You can find them in the kitchen above the island, behind the couch in floor lamp, and on the low hanging chandelier above the coffee table. This small Swedish apartment is a great starter apartment or a wonderful pied-a-terre. It proves small can be quite grand!
