Love this little kitchen on my trip to the Dominican Republic back in March. A small kitchen design mixing metal hardware! Copper, brass, chrome, oiled bronze hardware and plumbing fixtures all in one tiny cooking space! Somehow it works.
It all starts with the bold statement copper farmhouse sink, then the dark almost black oiled bronze kitchen faucet and window hardware, then the classic drawer pulls in a gold brass and lastly all of the other appliances their shiny silver chrome trim.
This small kitchen design is a combo of styles – retro vintage with the white appliances and island fresh with the painted pale green floor and shuttered window. Such a small tiny space but it works…mixed metals and all!

P.S. Trying to pull together a post on our Malibu Renovation project. So many things to tell you about that I don’t know where to start.

P.P.P.S. Did a little shopping this weekend because I have an event to attend (will tell you about it later). I dragged TE around Beverly Hills with me to look for clothes. At first he was grumbling, then he settled into the role of dutiful boyfriend weighing in on outfits…it also helped that at one of the stores they offered him a glass of champagne which he happily accepted! I bought a cute dress at Barney’s with a cut out at the waist…I like it…check it out and let me know whether you think I should keep it or not.

I love the large green tile on the backsplash. Do you know who makes it?
I would love to know what oven that is!
I’m actually really digging the mixed metals here – I think it looks great. I wouldn’t mind seeing more of a post like this – featuring other examples of mixed metals too. I think it takes a fine eye and light touch to do this right, but I truly do like it.
