Exterior of a new construction Spanish revival style home in Los Angeles. The stone pathway, garden gate and fountain make a wonderfully charming entrance. (above and below)
This estate sits on almost half an acre in one of L.A.’s toniest neighborhoods. Last year, this new Spanish revival home was for sale and last year it sold thanks to the efforts of premier home staging expert Meridith Baer.
In staging this Southern California house for sale, Meridith and her team kept the decorations simple, clean and elegant. Lots of white upholstered chairs and sofas, dark wood detailing on furniture and neutral accessories like pillows and throws. Meridith left off window coverings to take advantage of the wonderful windows and natural light – making the space bright and inviting to prospective buyers. All of these decor elements were combined not to make a bold interior design statement per se but to make the home an upscale, tasteful, stylish and livable looking space – a place that possible buyers could imagine as their own. Well, whatever Meridith and team did worked…the home sold for over $9 million! Wow.
Here are some details on this property: almost 11,000 square feet, 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, 5 fireplaces, 2 family rooms, media room, library, office, pool, canyon views and a 4 car garage. Hmmm…all of this would work for me!
I wonder if the home’s new owners kept the furniture that so Meridith used for staging…I would have!
A picture is worth 1000 words (I know…cliches are bad form in writing but in this case a cliche works for me 🙂 …)…so I will let the photos of this home tell the story…here you go…
Living room features a grand fireplace. A jute rug, two white sofas and a large tufted ottoman define this inviting space. (above)
What do you think of this Spanish Revival home?
Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

There is nothing about this home I don’t love with the exception of the puny master bath lighting. Otherwise – WOW!
Incredible! Imagine starting off the week in that house!
This is a dream home for me Coco! LUV!! I need to win the lottery… fast! :-/

It is such a beautiful home. If I had that kind of money I would buy it in a heart beat. I love the coffered ceilings and it just goes to show that every home doesn’t need color. This home does white right!
One of the most beautifulest things in the world!
lovely house, but clearly no children allowed with all this white furniture.
It makes me want to hose my house down in white paint! great post!
The artwork, the kitchen and all that white bright light! I love it!
so pretty house. love all furniture and the color combination. thank you for sharing and happy monday to you too 😉

What a gorgeous home. I don’t think I can pick a favorite room. Thank you for sharing!
Now if only I had 9 million dollars, this home would be mine! I love the way they did the stone in the little courtyard in patterns with the grass growing between! Looks like an amazing fabric or great wallpaper!
What a stunning property! I usually prefer more color in a space, but I have to admit, that the white, neutral and brown color palatte is just beautiful. I was happy to see the teal and lime throw pillows on the sofa…just right!
Aww.. looks familiar with Indonesian style…
No thanks! There is no warmth and it’s boring. From the outside it’s creative, but the interior shows no charm.
Well, at least I can save the 9 mill!
Very sterile interior! Exterior is nice however it good be even better by reducing the amount of turf and playing up the style of the house with more interesting landscape.
The interior looks like Cameron Diaz’ LA house in The Holiday.
This home is absolutely stunning. I always think you have to be careful when designing a home in this Spanish style and she has really done it beautifully.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
i love this home!! the beams, the dark floors, the dark window/door casings, the crisp white walls and the clean interior design concept. love it!! made me gasp:)
My heart stopped when I saw this post, because I worked on the interior design for this home and her new owner. Just seeing the outside I thought it was on the market again! But alas, these are the old photos and the house looks much, much different now. A lot more color and soul.
absolute perfection. i could float through this house for the rest of my life .. now where did I put my wallet!! (-: linda
GASP….BESTILL MY HEART! If this is not the most gorgeous home ever…..now this girls is right up my alley. I too need to get lottery lucky so I can purchase this beauty. Spanish and modern! WoW…I couldn’t dream up anything more perfect!
I cant tell if I LOVE the black lines or if I dont love it at all… Still not sure.
Love the exposed beams on the ceilings and yard and pool area is fabulous!
