SWEDISH DECOR DELIGHT – INSTAGRAM WORTHY HOUSE

October 8, 2014

White living room with textured accents in Jenny Hjalmarsson Boldsen's home

This house belonging to Swedish stylist Jenny Hjalmarsson Boldsen was featured in Residence Magazine recently…and it is absolute delight.  A bright palette – the walls and the floors are painted a fresh unabashed white.  The decor is a melange of styles…the house is peppered with wonderful textured accents like a Beni Ourain rug in the the living room and classic pieces like the Bertoia wire chair.  Jenny is known in Sweden for her instagram account where she chronicles the updates and changes to her house.

Love the old lockers in the home office.  A great touch.

Such a cute home.  I will have to check out Jenny’s instagram feed to see the latest!

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Last night, we had a fanstastic time with best of friend FF and her hubby CCF. They were visiting from New Orleans. TE and I took them to our favorite spot in Malibu where we enjoyed the views and picked fruit…and then we headed to Nobu in Malibu for dinner. TE managed to get us a fabulous table overlooking the water. It was so nice spending time with FF and CCF. I wish they lived here in California! Maybe they will buy a house in Malibu. I know a spot that would be perfect for them!!  Here is a glimpse of what our evening looked like…

What a gorgeous home. I love the white, black, and grey with a little brown thrown in. I have always wanted to decorate that way, but my choices tend more toward color. And leopard print!

Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
