25 Items to Give You a Spa-Like Experience at Home

January 27, 2022
  • Share

Everyone dreams of the perfect primary bathroom. That might include a steam shower and a towel warmer. Others might desire a white marble soaking tub and a large well-lit vanity. So while we wait for our dreams to become a reality, I found 25 essentials that will give you an at-home luxury spa experience. It includes my favorite skincare finds, cozy slippers, and more.

The featured above is bathroom inspiration by Amber Lewis Interiors. I stumbled upon this photo while scrolling on Instagram…as I always do LOL!  I love a neutral primary bathroom. The exposed wood beams on the ceiling add some dimension to what would’ve been an all-white room.

P.S. This post is also your reminder to practice self-care in 2022.

I recently started to expand my beauty collection. Nothing crazy…just a few new items to change up my daily routine. I started researching trending products for 2022 and found a few items that I want to try. There’s a lot of hype around the Dyson hair dryer and the Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum. I pulled some items that will enhance everyone’s at-home relaxation. I think we all deserve it!

The right chandelier doesn’t just light a room, it becomes the room. Scale, material, placement. When it’s done right, everything else arranges itself around it.

Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive.Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive. 🌸
One thing I’ve learned is that every outdoor space needs a focal point. It gives your eye a place to land and makes the whole space feel more intentional.
In this courtyard, the bougainvillea naturally becomes that focal point, adding color, height, and movement without overwhelming the space.
If you’re designing your own patio or garden, start with one standout feature, then let everything else support it.
Save this tip for your next outdoor project. ✨

Design by @covetnoir. A 1750 Georgian home in Surr Design by @covetnoir. A 1750 Georgian home in Surrey, restored back to its former grandeur.
Grade II listed and stripped of most of its original character by previous owners, this 9,000 sqft home with seven bedrooms, and five bathrooms was brought back to life for a French-Swedish couple raising two young kids here. The brief: Parisian luxe with a Scandinavian twist, and a design calm enough to keep the grand proportions feeling intimate.
Covet Noir rebuilt what had been lost: full plasterwork, raised & fielded panels, a bespoke decorative ceiling, and added a cantilevered limestone staircase with Nero Marquina cabochon inlay in the entrance hall. The material palette leans into marble and alabaster, softened with boucle and brushed cottons, chosen to hold up to two kids and two dogs without losing the elegance. Antique furniture and architectural fittings were sourced throughout to keep the project sustainable, alongside ground source heating.
Grand bones, calm hand. This is the kind of restoration we could look at all day. 🤍

A — Warm wood beams and stone

A great vaulted ceiling doesn’t just add height. It changes how a room feels entirely. The best ones make you stop, look up, and never want to leave.

Before you start moving furniture, ask yourself thBefore you start moving furniture, ask yourself these three questions:
Does this improve the room’s function?
Does it create a better focal point?
Does it make the space easier to walk through?
If the answer is “no” to all three, maybe it’s just the rearranging itch talking. 😅
Save this for the next time you’re tempted to move every piece of furniture in your house.
