A Tour of this Beautiful White Marble Kitchen

November 5, 2024
  • Share

Looking for some kitchen and dining room inspo? Check out this white marble kitchen that was featured in House Beautiful in their winter 2023 issue. If you’re in need of some inspo to transform your kitchen into one that is elegant and modern, check out these pictures. All of the photos in this blog can also be found on McCroskey Interiors’ website.

For more dining room inspo, check out this story we have on how to create the perfect dining room.

House Beautiful White Marble Kitchen Tour

The designer of this house, Laura McCroskey, was able to modernize this place while also preserving what makes the place special. According to the House Beautiful issue, she calls the kitchen’s palette “a very European look” with “old-world flavor to it, but with a modern spin.” Check out some of these pictures to see for yourself:

Here’s a wide view of the kitchen area. As you can see, the marble design is very prevalent throughout the space. The marble is a mix of antique green, deep purple, and gold veining. This creates a very unique pattern. The design is bold. And, it certainly does help make the space pop. The gold also helps bring the place together.

Here is another look at the marbling in the kitchen. You can see more hints of gold and brass sprinkled throughout the space. This little detail may not seem like all that but, it helps bring in a feeling of elegance and luxury.

Here is a closer look at the details surrounding this space. If you haven’t already noticed, behind the island counter, next to the stovetop, are sliding door cabinets. When Laura said she wanted to elevate the look of the home while also keeping its unique features, she meant it. After all, it’s not every day that you see this type of kitchen design. It is a totally awesome way to maintain a minimalistic look.

Here is a look at the breakfast nook area. The round cushion seating is very cute. The pillows and blankets in the seating area all come together to create a cozy space. This area as a whole is also very well-designed and styled. The white cushions, pillows, and tabletop mixed with gold and light brown wood exude a sense of luxury and comfort. It is definitely somewhere I would want to eat breakfast.

Just when you thought this kitchen couldn’t get better, it also comes with a small dining area. The white marble design is consistent throughout the whole space. We see it here with the small dining table too. The white chairs are a great match to the table. Both these pieces also stand out incredibly well when placed in front of a wall of dark great cabinets. Although these design choices may be a bit uncommon, look how well it turned out.

This is another view of the dining area. The mixing of white marble with gold and brass is consistent throughout the entire kitchen and dining space. This design choice also goes incredibly well with dark grey and black. First, we saw it with the tapestry in the breakfast nook space. And now we’re seeing it here, as well as in the dining space. This entire place is an attention-grabber, no matter which angle you’re looking at it from.

A thoughtfully styled tablescape can:
• Make guests feel instantly welcome.
• Encourage people to linger a little longer.
• Turn an ordinary meal into a memorable experience.
• Reflect your personal style without saying a word.
The best part? It doesn’t have to be elaborate. A few layers, fresh flowers, candlelight, or beautiful dinnerware can completely change the atmosphere. 💐
Because the most memorable gatherings aren’t always the fanciest. They’re the ones where everyone feels at home.
What’s one detail you always include when setting your table?

A great vaulted ceiling doesn’t just add height. It changes how a room feels entirely. The best ones make you stop, look up, and never want to leave.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo. 🖤

Does this improve the room’s function?
Does it create a better focal point?
Does it make the space easier to walk through?
If the answer is “no” to all three, maybe it’s just the rearranging itch talking. 😅

A 90s home in Amman, Jordan, entirely remodelled by local artisans. Neo-Florentine bones, Levant-eclectic sensibility, arched passageways, and a flea-market-meets-commissioned-art collection that makes every wall feel intentional.
What makes it work: restraint where you’d expect excess, and boldness where you’d expect safety.
This is what happens when a home is built by people who actually know the place. 🖤

Black is not a bold choice. It’s a neutral, and one of the most versatile ones in design.
The rooms that get it right treat black the same way others treat white or greige: as a foundation that lets everything else breathe. The texture of the wall. The warmth of the wood. The drama of the marble. Black doesn’t compete, it amplifies.
