Colored Kitchens are totally on trend right now, do you agree? These two blue galley kitchens just further the discussion…a few weeks ago I shared my favorite Bright White Kitchens and the more I dug into these kitchens, the more I realized that kitchen redesigns are including other strong colors as well and I kind of love it…
BLUE KITCHENS #1
This first kitchen was designed by Stacey Cohen Interiors. This designer had to work around an existing black and white marble floor seen in the photo above of this first blue galley kitchen. They took what was existing and brought those dark tones up through the cabinets, fixtures, and custom mirrored hood. They brightened the kitchen with the bright white quartz counters, walls, and breakfast nook so even though the blue is strong, it doesn’t make the kitchen feel small at all.
The white quartz counter with integrated stone sink, slab backsplash, paneled cabinet fronts and banquette seating are some of absolute favorite details in this kitchen. So purposeful and well executed.
BLUE KITCHENS #2
This second kitchen takes a more modern approach in its’ redesign. Smooth cabinets with fewer handles, open shelving, geometric backsplash…all signs pointing to a modern kitchen completely on trend from designer Nicole Franzen. The white quartz island is absolutely amazing…I can’t get over what a statement it is in this kitchen….love, love, love! Again, keeping lighter shades of white, cream, and hints of greys as prominent colors in the walls, upper cabinets, backsplash, and crown molding, keeps the room light and airy while still showing off this amazing rich blue tone throughout…such a well executed kitchen redesign.
Love this look. What do you think?
