TWO RANDOM ROOMS I’M LIKING RIGHT NOW 10.13.10!

Living room with wood floor, black sofa, white armchairs a fireplace and a sisal rug

Normally my random musings are collected in a series called RANDOM STUFF I’M LIKING RIGHT NOW (all about random things…furniture, accessories, clothing, fashion…things, items, stuff I like…etc.)…but today my random wandering mind has brought me to two random rooms. Random in selection but quite lovely by design. Simple elegance.

So here goes…

No rhyme, no reason, no theme, no scheme, no purpose…just some random rooms I’m liking right now. Rooms I adore…inspiration for your mansion, ranch, home, house, apartment, loft, condo, studio, cottage or shack and anything in between.

On the left is an arched entry way to a kitchen, on the right is the kitchen with subway tile from counter to ceiling, dark wood floor, white and silver pendant lights, white cabinets and drawers, black counter tops, and a white island with wood counter top

Happy Wednesday!

the LR is a bit cold, there’s something missing, just not sure what it is. Colorful artwork?

Not too random. You chose rooms with the same color scheme.

Life doesn’t always look the way we imagined it woLife doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would.
There will be seasons when everything seems to be falling into place, and seasons when we’re simply trying to find our footing again.
Both matter.
You don’t have to rush through the hard seasons or feel behind because you’re not where you thought you’d be.
Give yourself permission to grow at your own pace. What’s happening beneath the surface matters too.
Trust the process. Trust your timing. Keep going. ✨

Want a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and invitingWant a bedroom that feels cozy, warm, and inviting? Start with these simple changes:
1. Layer your bedding. Mix sheets, a duvet, quilts, and throw blankets to create that plush, lived-in look.
2. Add warm lighting. Swap harsh overhead lighting for bedside lamps, sconces, or a statement light with a warm glow.
3. Bring in plenty of texture. Think linen, velvet, boucle, chunky knits, and soft rugs.
4. Keep the palette warm and calming. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and muted colors instantly make a room feel more restful.
5. Mix in natural materials. Wood, rattan, woven accents, and stone add warmth and character.
6. Make the walls feel personal. Art, photographs, or even a statement headboard can make the room feel more finished.
7. Add something organic. A vase of branches, fresh flowers, or a little greenery can bring the room to life.
The goal isn’t to make your bedroom perfect. It’s to make it feel like a place you actually want to retreat to at the end of the day.
Save this for your next bedroom refresh. 🤎

Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive.Summer is when this courtyard really comes alive. 🌸
One thing I’ve learned is that every outdoor space needs a focal point. It gives your eye a place to land and makes the whole space feel more intentional.
In this courtyard, the bougainvillea naturally becomes that focal point, adding color, height, and movement without overwhelming the space.
If you’re designing your own patio or garden, start with one standout feature, then let everything else support it.
Save this tip for your next outdoor project. ✨
