WEEKEND PHOTO: A CHIC BACHELOR PAD!

October 30, 2010
  • Share

Dining room in an NYC home with dark wood floor, white table with dark legs, upholstered Louis XIV chairs, black roll up curtains, a white rug with a white sofa peaking in

I like this black, white and yellow space. I think this NYC home could belong to a very sophisticated man (or woman but I like it for a guy for some reason). The show house apartment is part of Designer Visions: Cinema Style and is in the Setai Fifth Avenue Residences, developed by Bizzi & Partners. The theme here is Wall Street and it looks like this space would work for an investment banker type me thinks. Oh, another if someone wanted to give me this statement is coming so please bear with me…here goes…if someone wanted do give me this $7 million + apartment, move aside guys (or if cute enough move in), I would take it!

Happy weekend!

Amazing! I love this. It isn’t too feminine and really proves that men can have nice things. I don’t know why men figure they have to have a barrage of beer mirrors and buffonery.

It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ It started with an invitation. I met @hugobesnier_ , founder and designer of luxury furniture brand @hartisparis_ at a small gathering in the 7ème, near the Musée d’Orsay. I was there with my new friends, Scarlette and Sarah.
The apartment itself was incredible! Tall ceilings, terrazzo floors, right along the Seine, but what really stood out was the furniture.
Turns out, it was Hugo's exquisite work.
The pieces are designed around everyday gestures: sitting, leaning, resting, but interpreted in a way that feels elevated and intentional. There’s a balance of structure and softness, where architectural lines meet more organic textures and forms.
He invited me back the next day to see everything more clearly, outside of the party setting, and it completely changed how I experienced it. The pieces feel intentional and refined, with a strong focus on material and form.
Sharing a closer look at his work here.
