WEEKEND PHOTO: AMPING UP COLOR!

April 10, 2010

Photo courtesy Paula + Martha LLC

Living room vignette with bright blue armchair, electric green throw and yellow Barcelona bench in an neutral room

I like this little vignette. The juxtaposition of the bright colors set a against a neutral background works for me. The brightest of primary colors – the blue chair, the electric green throw, the sunny yellow Barcelona bench and even the hot pink notebook – all compliment each other somehow! Especially love the art on the wall in the background…great photo of an alley of trees.

No time to sit this weekend…a good thing I think…but would be nice to spend an afternoon curled up in this chair!

Hope you have a great weekend.

I really like the pops of color, but for some reason it doesn’t fit with the sepia color of the photo in the background. I would rather have a striking, high contrast, black and white photo. My two sense!

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤
