WEEKEND PHOTO – MUSING OVER MOSAICS!

wall of marble mosaic tile samples in mostly neutral colors
A fantastic wall of marble mosaic tile samples! (above)

Ran into fab tile place Ann Sacks on Beverly Blvd. yesterday. Was musing for about an hour over tiles for no apparent reason. Not necessarily redoing anything at the moment but was just drooling over all of the lovely mosaics.  Tiles on this wall are quite luxurious, unique and are so delightful…they range in price from $250-$400 a square foot I was told.  Dream tiles!

So after my hour at Ann Sacks, I was planning on going home and then meeting friends HW, KR and TH for dinner…but ended up meeting said friends for a late afternoon snack, that turned into more snacks, that turned into having a drink at their hotel…I was wearing the same black maxi dress I had been wearing all day and some cute Prada strappy and bejeweled sandles. I left home at 8:30a (with one 30 minute stop at home to let someone into my house) and didn’t get home for good until 11:30p! Oh dear. I am leaving for Atlanta next week to show the COCOCOZY Collection and I have a million things to do but yesterday I transformed myself for a day into a lady who lunches (and snacks and goes out to drinks) who has not a care in the world. Focus Coco. Focus! (I did spend most of the morning working yesterday though including going to my textiles print house to go over my new designs and colorways for the new cotton textiles coming out month – they have to come out in a month…I’m going to the NYIGF and I must finish the cotton…oh…uh…oh…so much to do!)

Anyhooo…will share more gorgeous tiles this week including some that are $500 per yard!

Happy Sunday!

I LOVE her tiles. I fell in love with her collections at a design center in Naples a few years ago and always hope I can incorporate them in a future house!

The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. The bouclé sofa isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. Soft, sculptural, and impossible to walk past without wanting to sit down. The rooms that get it right pair it with something unexpected: a dramatic mural, an antique screen, a city skyline, a hand-laid mosaic floor.

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo and follow for more. 🖤

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍
