Loving the new Effie’s Paper collection created by friend and fellow blogger Kalyn Johnson Chandler. Kalyn’s new stationery line is making its big debut at the giant National Stationery Show today in New York! Woohoo! Congrats Kalyn! I know she’s put a ton of hard work into this paper line and now look…a very stylish and happy collection of note cards for those of us who understand the importance of a well written note.
Particularly loving the Effie’s Paper Jet Set collection with names like Nantucket, Mexican Riviera, Buenos Aires, Scottsdale and more. Very chic, very cheerful colors and very inspiring as far as making me want to travel and write handwritten notes.
Kalyn says that while she can’t live without all of her fun tech toys (computer, smart phone, iPad and more), there is nothing like sending or receiving a good note.
I agree with her…just the other day, I got a very nice hand written thank you note from Michael Boodro, the Editor-in-Chief of Elle Decor. His penmanship is excellent, the note was very nice and it made me smile. I must say, I don’t think an email would have done the same trick for me. Note writing is indeed an art.

Dear readers, do you still write letters or notes? Do you prefer electronic mail or hand written correspondence?
Congrats Kalyn. Thank you for the lovely photos and break a leg at your first trade show!
Happy Sunday dear readers! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

I don’t send notes but I love the idea of them! A year or so ago I came across an old letter from the 70’s that my second cousin had sent my mom thanking her for the informal yet lovely bbq and pool party. I was totally blown away that someone would send a letter (especially my mom and her cousin- they were quite close) for a simple get together.
I totally forgot about this until now. Thank you for the reminder 🙂
I love the stationary by the way!
Thank you for doing such a lovely post on effie’s paper Coco!
Stylishly yours,
Kalyn
I love Effie’s papers and look forward to placing an order! I am a strong handwritten note believer and nothing makes it more enjoyable than a great piece of stationery. I am hoping she has children’s offerings as well. My three boys are always writing thank you notes for birthday gifts etc but I find the selection of papers so limited. Thank you for sharing! (Formal note to follow–ha:-)!)
Beautiful designs! Effie’s paper exude tender loving care which is exactly what a handwritten note should be!
For work I use email, like there is no other… much easier and effecient, however, thank you notes to clients are handwritten. Personal notes are done by hand, especially if it is a sensetive subject, no FB, and sometimes I just write a bunch of handwritten notes to friends and family… everyone is always supprised, and I love that!! 🙂

*** Beauuutiful and/or different/unique stationary is a HUUUGE weakness for me…”HUUUGE”!!!
…Surprizingly (to me, anyway) many people compliment me on it, and my handwriting… and gee, sometimes I THINK they’re just plain in AWE that SOMEone took the TIME to write, especially THESE days! A TU note after a lovely dinner and/or party, or a lovely gesture, DESERVES one’s handwritten thanks! (Compters, IMHO, weren’t MEANT to be used as a substitute for good manners… according to MY Mom, anyway! Smiles!)…)
Almost all of my friends thru the years have joked that I “send a Thank You note just for saying God Bless You when they sneeze”!
Wishing you the best,

I agree with Northern Light..for work nothing like e-mail however..for thank you’s to client’s & friend’s, nothing can beat a hand written note. Love the stationary.xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
Oh how I need to write more personal notes. This stationery is fabulous!!
I am a paper hoarder….. and a big techie, but believe there is nothing more wonderful than a hand written note, it is truly a dying art form and get so happy when I see other people are truly ‘gaga’ over it in the same way I am!
Thanks for posting!
