WELL RED!

October 17, 2011
  • Share
Library with light wood paneling, neutral furniture, black trimmed door, floor length curtains, a red armchair with nail head piping and red accent pillows

I love this library in a Greenwich, CT home.   Light wood paneling, neutral earth tone furniture to match and then a shock of red  in the upholstered armchairs and accent pillows.

I would love to curl up in this room with a nice book or a good magazine.  Perfect.

Happy Monday!

xo

What an elegant, but utterly comfortable room. I also love the punches of red. It’s kind of a nice persimmon red, too, which makes me think happy fall thoughts.

Am I the only one that sees no books in this library?

I am slowly but surely learning to love neutrals with pops of color and this room exemplifies that vibe.

This is beautiful! The red is a great way to introduce rhythm in a neutral room. Hopefully they have books somewhere else in the room!

Oh I love the room. Amazing what one little red chair and a couple of red pillows can do to punch up the color quotient! A perfect snuggly winter room…a good book, some hot chocolate and I’ll never leave!

A masterclass in contemporary wedding event designA masterclass in contemporary wedding event design, every detail feels intentional, layered, and deeply personal.
Designed by @bychenai, a prolific and talented London based wedding and events planner, this wedding is a study in thoughtful design and artful creative direction. We say well done Chenai!
Long tables arranged in a maze-like formation created a striking design, while still allowing 350 guests to move throughout the space. A rich brown and gold palette brought warmth and depth, paired with refined tabletops and lush floral centerpieces.
