I like a nice wood ceiling in a home. Adds character and warmth. Question is do you paint it or leave it unpainted. One look is more modern airy but still with a earthy vibe, the other says rustic chic…what do you think?

Truly? I want the white painted ceiling for spring and summer and the rustic look for fall and winter.
Great question! I think it depends on the house and the existing materials. I just installed a wood ceiling and selected a warm brown walnut. The living room was in desperate need of some warmth and the wood ceiling did the trick! I love the white too….

I agree with Sharon that it depends on the house but I personally think that unpainted is better because it is cosier. Painted in white for example reminds me for the modern world.
