WORKSTEAD DESIGN!

black and white Moroccan tiles in a bathroom with a platform tub by Workstead
Moroccan type mosaic tiles in cream and black. (above)

I like the work of Brooklyn based design collective, Workstead.  Something very earthy, raw yet modern and eclectic about their aesthetic.  A blend of nostalgia and new.  Very cool.

Love the black and cream tile in the bath above.  I adore the decorative wall molding in the living room below.  I am picking out the wall molding for my bedroom today.  Was going to just do what I had before…large squares and rectangles…but loving the etched rectangle wall molding shown below.  Hmmm…considering.

living room with white walls etched rectangle wall modling, wood floors, a piano, gray sofas and a black leather ottoman chair
Gray floating shelves with a black ladder going up to a skylight
Kitchen overlooking dining room with greige walls and cabinets and wood accents
Subtle detail added to the kitchen cabinets in the form of custom L shaped wood door handles. (above and below)
Close up of the greige cabinets and their L shaped wood door handles in the kitchen

Is this your style?  What do you think of Workstead’s work?

Happy Tuesday!

P.S.  Multi million dollar answer – Yesterday, most of you answered correctly on the post about the two multi million dollar apartments.  The Tribeca loft is a mere $15.8 million…while the 5th Ave/62nd apartment is over $19 million!

P.P.S.  Stopped by my little tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills over the weekend with TE.  The wood floors are in!  Not stained yet…but they have been laid!  So excited….

Unfinished white oak wood floors in my tiny cottage in the Hollywood Hills – I chose 7″wide planks with beveled edges.  Still deciding on color! (above and below)

P.P.P.S.   Spent 2.5 hours of my life watching the Bachelor last night.  Have lost brain cells.  Will spend day trying to figure out how to rejuvenate those cells lost.  Uhhhhhhhh….duhhhhhhh….uhhhhhh….

P.P.P.P.S.  COCOCOZY GIVEAWAY – Tomorrow, I’m doing a giveaway!  Don’t know what we’re giving away yet…but it will be something good from the COCOCOZY Collection!  Stay tuned for details!

    Love it!
Specially the bathroom (great tile choice!) and the kitchen (love L shaped handles, original and stylish detail).
    Great work!

I love those wood handles. Do you think they are custom made?
your floor look beautiful. I agree with the grey color to keep the bright feeling in your little tiny cottage.

I love the etched rectangular molding. And the rustic floors. And the chair, and the wall-light. Heck, pretty much everything about that room!

I love your new white oak floors. Can you post pics of them stained… I was thinking of using white oak floors in our next remodel and would love to see how they look after the stain. Thanks again!

Love Workstead. Their spaces look high-end, yet relatable.

Rather than modern blah McMansions, I’m into period details. We built a new home but designed it in the style of a 1920s Craftsman bungalow. For the fixed elements we tried to evoke the feeling of the 1920s, like installing medicine cabinets with Shaker trim.

Behind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOBehind-the-scenes: Fun work trip to visit the COCOCOZY bedding collection at the Welspun showroom in New York. Met with some buyers, had a fun time with the Welspun team, then capped off the weekend with a visit with friends. It is a long process to get bedding in stores across the country...showing the collections at textiles market is one of the first steps!
If you're interested in learning how I have gotten @cococozy products into stores around the country over the years including in major retailers...follow along...just one entrepreneur's journey. :)

Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celeb Today is my birthday but...I don’t want to celebrate...I want to help.
I want to make a meaningful impact in our greater Los Angeles community suffering from the fires. I invite you to join me in transforming birthday wishes into support for one local organization on the ground in Pasadena/Altadena.
I have made a contribution today already to the LA Fire Relief Fund created by @victorybiblechurch in Pasadena. They are actively assisting families in need in both Pasadena and Altadena who have been affected by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Although I don't have a personal connection to Pastor DeCuir or the church, I was searching for an organization that is helping in the Altadena area. A well respected civil rights attorney I follow @leemerrittesq is on the ground helping the church members and community members with legal services in the wake of the fires. I hope by contributing to their efforts, we can extend a helping hand to those facing significant challenges during this difficult time
To donate, please visit their website at https://vbcpasadena.org/ (link in bio as well). Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope and relief to those who need it most. Tell them you heard about them from me.
Your generosity to the Los Angeles community is the best birthday gift I could ask for.

Happy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this freshHappy New Year! 🎉✨ As we step into this fresh chapter, I’m reminded of the beauty of starting anew and I like recommitting to goals at the top of the year. Nothing set in stone but just an overall vision of what I'd like to do and who I would hope to help along the way.
This year, my mantra is: **dream big, act boldly, treasure the small joys, continue to lead with kindness and to have as much empathy as possible for others **. Just a few things...😂
I’m also deeply committed to helping people who follow along to achieve their dreams. I'll be curating captivating interior design inspiration with COCOCOZY that will hopefully give you ideas and dreams for your own space. I will also be empowering you to realize the value of your influence with Chirpyest by earning cash back for sharing and shopping. I hope to be open about the journey of the COCOCOZY product line. I want to share real time behind the scenes how the line is being built and how we are growing Chirpyest; both examples of the not so linear journey of building businesses from the ground up. I hope these stories spark you to push your own boundaries and shake out of your comfort zones.
Lastly, in 2025, I’m committed to surrounding myself with people who have a positive vibe about them while striving to be that same light for others. Luckily, I have a great start on this with an amazing family and fantastic group of friends - a fantastic support network.
My wish for you in 2025: May this year bring you clarity, courage, and the confidence to pursue all that makes you happy.
What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 💬❤️
Let's get to this...am ready 2025!
