Tour Designer Max Azria’s Bel Air Mansion – $85 Million Dollar Listing

bcbg max azria house for sale exterior

What costs $85 million in the heart of Los Angeles?  Answer: The BCBG designer Max Azria house.  Located at 10250 W. Sunset Blvd in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles, this mansion is on the market for a mere $85 million.  It is listed by The Agency.

So strange that I would happen on this house.  Just this weekend TE and I were driving through Beverly Hills, Bel-Air area and admiring the beautiful homes as we jetted along in his convertible.  We were actually looking at stucco colors on all of the houses as we try to figure out the exterior color for our Malibu renovation project.

Anyhooo….back to this mega mansion….Azria is the founder and owner of the famed BCBG fashion line.  He and his wife have put their 30,000 square foot, 17 bedroom, 22 bath estate on the market.  The home was originally designed by the legendary architect Paul Williams in the 1930’s.  With modern updates, this grand estate features both classic and modern updates.

In addition to vast necessary rooms such as a large master bedroom suite, a chef’s kitchen and more, the 60 room residence includes a 6,000 square foot movie theater and a 2500 square foot home office!

The grounds boast a private tennis court with an elevated viewing box; a glass-ceiling former greenhouse turned fitness room, a 2nd greenhouse for organic produce, a purified zero-edged pool next to a Moroccan bath house with sauna, steam shower and spa.

All of this in the center of Los Angeles.

Hard to feel cozy in there but love some of the decor details.

Yikes! It’s horrible! Just think how it could have been with that amount of money??? Sad!

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
