I do not know why I love the idea of remodeling an old farm or an old barn. There is some romance and elegance to updating a farm building. A barn renovation I posted years ago is one of my favorites.
Today, I love everything about the interior of this old farmhouse renovation. The super modern kitchen works because it is surrounded by the building’s original stone and complimented by tumbled limestone floor tiles. A sleek modern staircase leading up to the living room loft is juxtaposed against the old stone wall. There is also something a little industrial about the space too…with the exposed duct work for the range hood creating a design element of its own. This bright fresh interior screams a wonderful blend of old and new. All of the architecture combined with the furniture is perfection. I love the reclaimed wood weathered dining room table. It so fits the space.
I would like to live in a farmhouse like this!
