I love setting a pretty table.  I just do.  Give me any occasion and I’ll happily pull out the flatware, dishes, glasses, table linens, and come up with a fabulous centerpiece arrangement.  Last year, I felt like I was setting tables and making tablescapes ALL of the time…like here and here and and I even made a video of me setting a spring luncheon table here. The key to a great table can be plates.  Easy to top a white dinner plate off with a colorful patterned salad plate…or going all in with a single high design plate for your meal.  The best way to greet guests to your home for a meal is to have a really inviting and cheerful table setting I think.

The other day I got a text from friend VS who worked for COCOCOZY at one point.  She said “I love this COCOCOZY rug” and sent me a picture of my new Tower Court rug.  I then realized that in all of the excitement of the holidays, the new year, January reboot, general February busy times, I had forgotten to introduce to you the latest from my rug collection!

I am so proud of this new rug.  It is one of my favorite.  An indoor/outdoor rug that is versatile, good looking and…AFFORDABLE!!!  Woohooo.

I love beautiful double door.  When I am in France each summer visiting my mother’s amazing rental apartment in Paris, I am reminded that my dream house must have a double doors somewhere. Mom’s Parisian summer flat has tall ceilings and glorious double doors leading from the dining room to the living room.  Classic, tall, with molding, striking substantial knobs and some door trim that stands out.

Would love to have interior double doors leading to a bedroom or dining room. Something so elegant about flinging open two doors to a room.

Over the last few months, I have been trying to highlight Instagram micro bloggers who have a distinct style.  Their following may not be enormous but their style is large.  They come from all over the world and are from varied backgrounds.

This search for those smaller bloggers has lead me to create The Chirpyest page.  A name by best of friend came up with…but an idea dreamed up by me.  I’ll share more on that later.

Here in Los Angeles, any time the weather drops below 65 degrees, I am FREEZING.  I was born and raised in Southern California so I am not accustomed to climate changes! 😉

Seriously though, I have been seeing reports all around the country of knee deep snow storms and a general chill.  If you are not able to travel to a beautiful tropical warm spot to warm up, the second solution is a cozy sweater…there are a lot of good ones out there right now…here are my picks for this season.

Every year about this time, I write my New Year’s Eve post.  Somewhat reflective…with lofty goals in mind. I’ve challenge myself and I always challenge you dear readers to grow.  This annual post is always a little sappy and a little wistful…but also hopeful and optimistic definitely.

This year is different.  It is all about looking forward and being doggedly optimistic.  I say bring it on 2017.  Bring it on. I am ready to conquer the world!
