9 Places to Visit in Santa Barbara, California

April 12, 2023
  • Share

The COCOCOZY team put together a travel guide to one of my favorite places to visit in California. A few months ago I went on a weekend trip to Santa Barbara and had the best time! I short ride from Los Angeles was great to get out of my bubble in Beverly Hills and explore a different city. Santa Barbara has beautiful weather, a gorgeous coastline, and a handful of great activities! Get ready because you may just want to explore Santa Barbara right now.

The photo above is from one of my favorite restaurants called Bella Vista. It’s now closed. It had a beautiful view of Butterfly Beach. It never reopened after the pandemic. My fingers are crossed that it opens up again!

Coco’s Spring Break Shopping Guide 2023

March 3, 2023
  • Share

It was snowing in California! My mom sent me a photo of sleet covering her front lawn. I’m a true Californian. So when I see snow in California…it’s truly shocking! (I’m sure my east coast readers are laughing at me right now). Since a winter cold front has taken over Los Angeles, I started looking up places to travel for spring break. I thought to myself…if I can go anywhere, then where would I go? Let me state the obvious…planning a trip last minute for spring break is EXPENSIVE! So my dream to book a flight out of here is just a dream for right now. But if you’re someone who is only a few weeks away from a warm vacation on an island or a cozy retreat in the mountains, this blog is to help you.

Here’s my shopping guide to help you pack for your spring break trip!

What is Spring Break?

Spring break is a week of vacation (sometimes longer) in the middle of the spring season. It’s usually around the end of March. The purpose of the holiday is to give students (and adults) a break from their crazy school schedules. It’s a week to relax and unwind.

Coco’s Travels: Exploring Slovenia In Style

November 11, 2022
  • Share

I just returned from a trip to Slovenia where I explored caves, hiked, and spent time in the main town of Ljubljana. Ambassador Jamie Harpootlian is a friend of mine for around 20 years. I was so happy and proud of her that I had to go visit. She has been at her post since February. The ambassador asked me what kind of vacation I desired. Architecture? Nature? Hiking? Art? She gave me so many options. My normal answer is art and architecture. However, she showed me everything Slovenia had to offer and more! We even enjoyed city life and ate incredible food.

Slovenia is a beautiful country located in Central Europe and shares borders with Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia. It has a population of only 2 million people. Find out what I did during my trip.

Paris is a wonderful city for the summer months. There is an endless amount of culture and beautiful architecture. Paris is the best city to explore and discover something new. As most of you know, Paris is one of my favorite places to visit. My mom spends a few months in Paris every year. We recently stayed at an apartment owned by my friends, Anne Marie Midy and Jorge Almada, owners of the furniture house Casamidy. I’m still dreaming about it.

Paris is the best place to escape. There is so much history and art. The French architecture is beautiful. And of course, there is nothing like shopping in Paris. If you’re looking to plan your next trip, then see my list of the best summer rentals and hotels in Paris.

An easy fall tablescape you can actually recreate. An easy fall tablescape you can actually recreate. 🍂
You don’t need a perfectly styled table or a dozen new pieces to make a fall gathering feel special. Start with what you already have and layer in a few simple details.
Think woven placemats + simple white plates + gingham napkins + fresh greenery. Add clear glassware and a simple centerpiece, and you have a table that feels warm, collected, and ready for dinner with friends.
The best part? Most of these elements can work beyond fall, too. Just switch out the napkin pattern or greenery and you have a completely different look.
Save this for your next fall gathering and use it as a starting point for your own table. 🤎
