I just returned from a trip to Slovenia where I explored caves, hiked, and spent time in the main town of Ljubljana. Ambassador Jamie Harpootlian is a friend of mine for around 20 years. I was so happy and proud of her that I had to go visit. She has been at her post since February. The ambassador asked me what kind of vacation I desired. Architecture? Nature? Hiking? Art? She gave me so many options. My normal answer is art and architecture. However, she showed me everything Slovenia had to offer and more! We even enjoyed city life and ate incredible food.

I am taking over today to share with you one of my favorite travel destinations – the south of Spain! I stayed in Seville, Spain for a month while studying abroad in college. This city in southern Spain is full of rich culture and history. While there I also got to visit other cities such as Granada and Cádiz.

Known for their delicious sangria, flamenco dancing, and the hot heat – I am going to be sharing with you some of my favorite places to visit in the south of Spain.

Paris is a wonderful city for the summer months. There is an endless amount of culture and beautiful architecture. Paris is the best city to explore and discover something new. As most of you know, Paris is one of my favorite places to visit. My mom spends a few months in Paris every year. We recently stayed at an apartment owned by my friends, Anne Marie Midy and Jorge Almada, owners of the furniture house Casamidy. I’m still dreaming about it.

The best time to visit Paris is in the late spring. Paris is covered in flowers–pale pinks and purples that create an enchanting atmosphere. It almost feels like you’re in a fairytale. While in Paris, I came across this restaurant that was covered in wisteria. Its full bloom only lasts a few weeks, but I found a few vines that started to bloom. The best time to see wisteria at its peak is from late April to early May. Wisteria is known to be a very fragrant flower. It’s almost hard to miss.

During my trip to Paris, I had a lovely dinner at Ralph’s. The restaurant is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It’s considered to be the heart of Paris because it is the home of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quartier and the Luxembourg Gardens. The charming streets in the 6th arrondissement have shops, cafes, and restaurants that are a must while visiting Paris.
