HOME STUDIO STYLE!

October 7, 2011
  • Share
Home studio with black and white hide rug, Platner wire chairs with ikat patterned accent pillows, reclaimed wood tables, a mirrored coffee table and shiny black patent leather upholstered arm chairs

I like this upstairs home studio from Atlantis Home. The eclectic style works. The Platner wire chairs, the mirrored coffee table and the piece de resistance the shiny patent leather upholstered arm chairs. Nice. Chic. Interesting too.

What do you think of this home office? What does your home work space look like?

Happy Friday!

P.S. Last night went to Mercato di Vetro, a fantastic new L.A. restaurant that just opened Monday. Let’s see…we were celebrating HW’s birthday with a fun group including Kristi Bender partner at Wendy Schwartz Design, RB, KM and of course AZ!  AZ picked the reataurant.  Nice!  What a fun night.

P.P.S. Photos from last night!  P.S. photos again…I know…not cool to put photos in the post script…but I can’t help it.  I shouldn’t have ever started with this…but that whole Katy Perry mention of COCOCOZY in InStyle prompted this whole “I’m going to break all conventions in grammar and writing to put actual content in the post script” attitude that I’ve adopted.  I’ll make the photos smaller than the “post” pictures…maybe that is a little more acceptable.  Tiny photos in the P.S.?  Huh…might work? (Have had a change of mind late in the day…the Post Script Photos are now big…I think I’ll be going back and forth on this all weekend long…another one of my non-dilemma, dilemmas). The restaurant was really wonderful…a little too brightly lit but really great decor and the seafood pasta was divine!

P.P.P.S. Hope you have fun plans for the long weekend! I am going to be going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market on Sunday. Will be tweeting from there on COCOCOZY Twitter. So please following along to see my flea market finds!

Love this loft! The fabric on the pillows is great as is the patent chair.

If only my home office looked like this, I would surely do a whole lot more work! Those studio assistants are too cute – just the perfect accessories for this fabulous space.

A well-designed bunk room isn’t just for kids. It’s about making every guest feel like they got the best bed in the house. Built-in storage, thoughtful lighting, and bedding that actually makes you want to climb up top.
Save this for your next build or renovation inspo and follow for more. 🖤

This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎 This Toronto home just redefined “warm modern.” 🤎
Designer Ashley Montgomery layered reclaimed wood beams, brass hardware, and deep walnut millwork against soft plaster walls, and somehow every single room still feels calm. The olive built-ins in the living room, the arched oak doors, that brass shower enclosure in the primary bath... this is what happens when someone actually commits to a palette.

How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️How much summer can you fit into a few days? ☀️⛵️
I flew from Los Angeles to Nantucket for a very quick trip and I’m planning to find out.
Beautiful beaches, boats, gorgeous interiors, time with friends and one last little dose of August.
Turns out you don’t always need a whole week to feel like you got away. 🤍
So happy to be visiting bestie @francesgfayard and her husband Calvin and my godson Carter for a little last minute end of summer travel. New England at its best. Day 1 was a beautiful day. 🤩
You are not going to feel motivated every day. AndYou are not going to feel motivated every day. And you don’t have to.
Some days you’ll feel inspired and everything seems to click. Other days, you’ll question what you’re doing and wonder if any of it is actually working.
The important thing is not to mistake a slow day for a step backward.
You can keep going even when the motivation isn’t there. Some days, showing up is the progress.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder. 🤍

The best parts of Paris might not be on your itineThe best parts of Paris might not be on your itinerary. 🇫🇷
Some of my favorite travel moments are the ones you don’t plan: the pretty street you turn onto, the café you notice while walking by, the building you stop to look at for no particular reason.
So if you’re planning a Paris trip, don’t fill every hour. Leave room to wander.
