Home Sweet Home Decor – COCOCOZY Black & White Pillows

February 8, 2016

Black white pillows
A few goodies from our black and white pillow collection wrapped in striped grosgrain ribbon in the bedroom of my tiny little cottage in the Hollywood Hills.

So, I was traveling for a full week last week.  On a whirlwind schedule for 6 days straight.   Mainly was moving about for work but had the good fortune to have a little personal time too.  I was so happy to get to see so many of my dear friends over the visit. I stopped in New York City twice, visited Westchester County in New York (had never been there) and then I went to Chicago. For nearly 7 days I stayed in a different bed. On one of my non-work nights, I stayed with best of friend AM at her Soho apartment and was so happy to see her and her family. In addition to AM and her hubby JE and their kids, I got to see dear friends A.Ro., CJ, WH and designer/blogger friend Nicole Gibbons. I managed to make it to a NYC party and caught up with some people I hadn’t seen in years and I went to a chess tournament. I went to a work conference (for my day job) for two days where my team of executives won a team building challenge.  I even got a chance to stop at a trade show to see some of my COCOCOZY throws on display. Then I jetted off to Chicago where I spent one night at the Four Seasons there and spent 5 hours standing outside in 16 degree weather (some day I’ll tell you why). A fun fulfilling week but imagine how happy I was to land in sunny Los Angeles on Friday late afternoon and to be picked up by my car service and whisked home to my tiny little cottage in the Hollywood Hills.

Home sweet home!

A few weeks ago, I was playing around with our COCOCOZY black and white pillow collection at my little house that is nestled in the hills.  I took a few styles from the collection and tried them in my bedroom and then on my sofa.  I love mixing and matching prints from this collection.  Don’t be afraid to mix patterns on pillows or fabrics that are in the same color family when planning your home decor.  A mix of patterns add for a lively visual mix without injecting too many different colors.  I wish my sofa didn’t have the chocolate brown contrast welt piping then I think the black and white would really work in the living room.  For now, I think I will stick to the black and white pillows in my all white bedroom.

The nice thing about having your own pillow collection is that you can change out your decor any time!

P.S. Each day, I am trying to remember things to be thankful for. Today, in light of this post and the picture of me and Mr. Boo here, I am just happy that he is older now and doesn’t eat (destroy) all the pillows on my sofa or bed every time I leave the house! Mr. Boo is a small one but in his younger days was big trouble as he had regular field day with chewing holes in sofas, rugs, pillows, expensive shoes, throws, socks and much more! Don’t let his flopping ears and innoncent eyes fool you.

This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris wa This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris was designed to function as both a home and a gallery and the distinction between the two is impossible to find.
Every room treats art and objects with the same weight as furniture, nothing is decorative for its own sake, everything is placed with intention.
The Haussmannian bones, ornate cornicing, herringbone parquet, original stained glass ceiling, stay intact throughout. Natural and handcrafted materials do the rest.

So proud of my dear friend Kristi Bender and her b So proud of my dear friend Kristi Bender and her business partner Wendy Schwartz on the launch of Petal Promenade for @cuff_studio. 👏
This new collection feels like such a beautiful evolution. Inspired by their Manhattan Flower District showroom, it brings together the romance of classic decorative arts with a fresh, modern perspective in a way that feels bold, artistic, and incredibly thoughtful.
If you are attending ICFF 2026, make sure to stop by Booth W1048 and experience Petal Promenade in person. Congratulations, Kristi and Wendy. This collection is truly something special. ✨
Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffe Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffel Tower as your view? These 7 Paris spaces answer that — some hotel suites, some private residences, and each one framing it completely differently. 🫶
A gilded suite where it peers through silk drapes. A terrace set for breakfast with the Tower straight ahead. Contemporary apartments where open French doors bring it almost into the room. Classic Haussmannian grandeur on one end, sculptural modern interiors on the other; same iconic backdrop, seven entirely different ways to live with it.

This Haussmannian apartment sits directly facing N This Haussmannian apartment sits directly facing Notre-Dame on the Left Bank, and @double_g_interior_design designed the interior to match that setting without competing with it. ✨
The approach was deliberate restraint: restored cornices kept intact, stained oak floors, limestone tones, a mix of vintage furniture and contemporary silhouettes. Every choice earning its place. The light does the rest. Bouncing off mirrors, moving through the neutral walls across the day. 🔅
