London Apartment Tour

March 5, 2020

Get ready to explore a neutral color palette London Apartment Tour. There is nothing quite like lusting after gorgeous European spaces. I stumbled upon this apartment and was immediately in awe of the modern/contemporary look paired with some more classic elements. Some highlights of this space are the gorgeous detailed molding and the high ceilings. Get ready to be wowed by this incredible space!

First up is a glimpse of the living room. The color palette throughout this home is just divine. The combination of white, cream, beige, brown, grey, and black is perfectly balanced for a multi-dimensional space. The architectural details meld beautifully with the modern/contemporary furniture pieces. I’m in love with the sofa, coffee table, and light fixture.

This view of the living room shows off the breathtaking black and white marble fireplace, the ceiling-high windows, and the unique chairs. There is also a hint of a light wood floor around the cream carpet. The addition of plants really brings the space to life by adding a touch of nature.

The dining room doesn’t disappoint. The light grey paneled walls create the perfect backdrop for this warm-toned dining table and chairs. The addition of the cream light fixture and statue round out the color palette in this room.

Taking a moment to appreciate the sculpture in the dining room – this piece of art adds a nice contrast to the space. The rectangular stand also adds an interesting shape to the room and provides the perfect spotlight for the sculptural piece.

Next up is the kitchen. I love the floorplan of this space and that you can see through the dining room and living room from the kitchen. The super-light beige cabinets blend beautifully with the floors and add a subtle warmth to the room. The sleek marble countertops fit the theme of the space and keep the beige from being overwhelming.

This view of the kitchen shows off the gorgeous island. I love that the marble cascades over the edge and to the floor. It makes this space instantly more modern and sleek. The addition of the artwork and open shelves give this kitchen a very artistic feeling.

I would assume this is an image of the entryway to the apartment. I love the bold use of black in this space. The minimalist style of the pieces selected makes this room feel more like an art gallery than a home. The pops of beige keep this space feeling warm and inviting.

This space is a breathtaking closet/beauty room. The vanity is impeccably selected and impossibly chic. The warm-toned marble stands out in this neutral room. Plus, that chair also looks incredible in this space thanks to its warm tones and shape. Not to forget – the framed photographs, neutral furniture, and mirror all add to this space as well.

The first bedroom keeps it simple and lets the architecture of the room shine. I love the attached headboard and the combination of white and grey bedding. It complements the space well. The nightstand and chair bring that reoccurring warmth to this room.

The other view of this room shows off the incredible windows, artwork, and accent pieces. The light fixture and the black leather chair really act as unique moments in this space. I love the minimalist approach that retains a feeling of coziness.

The second bedroom in this apartment has a few pops of pink and gold separating it from the rest of the space. I love the gold hanging light and the addition of a bouquet. The headboard is a beautiful combination of cream, white, and gold that looks gorgeous with the rest of the color palette in this room.

The third bedroom of this apartment takes on a darker approach. This color palette is dark but still keeps a light and bright feeling. The black headboard is a beautiful touch that looks great with the hints of blue. The addition of art, books, and ceramics make this space feel very curated.

The bathroom in this London apartment is incredibly grand! They weren’t joking around and went with floor to ceiling marble. It looks great – especially with the pops of gold, beige, and black. This looks like a great space to relax and feel luxurious.

Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles an Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles and fancy things to make your house a home. In this picture, a plant, two chairs I found at the flea market, a layered rug situation and some modern art...de-cluttered space can be equally as inviting as one filled with memories and treasures. If you are stuck with how to decorate, I say keep it simple. Purge and start with the basics. Full disclosure, this is a shot of my living room from a few years ago when I first moved in...I didn’t even have drapes up when this was taken. I have since added pieces and changed out furniture and added a 2nd sofa...but it started super simple and it was lovely back then. When the world is swirling around us and making no sense, how are you keeping things simple at home? #socococozy #bringstylehome #cococozy
Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last year. Clueless as to what was to come. Was in Paris, with my mom, enjoying her summer apartment in the middle of the 6th arrondissement. I had just left the U.K. visiting friends for a few days in London and the Cotswolds. None of us knew that this summer 2020 would be so different. Today, I can only hope this time of tumult and great divides leads somehow to a future of calm and harmony. Going backwards in time is not an option. Pushing forward is. Happy Sunday to you. Where were you last summer? Where do you imagine you’ll be next? Xoxo #socococozy #bringstylehome
Incredible living room before and after as designe Incredible living room before and after as designed by my good friend Steve Jones @bettershelter! I went on a tour today. I also went on a tour a year ago when he first got the house. See my stories. Swipe to see what this room looked like before. Life lesson from a room transformation: When faced with the daunting and not so pretty, look to do the work, and you can make changes to bring out what is good. Right? This home by the way is going on the market soon and is in one of my favorite parts of town, View Park. What changes have you made lately that have turned bad into good? #socococozy #bringstylehome #remodeling #homerenovation #californiadreaming
“Be patient with yourself it has been a funky fe “Be patient with yourself it has been a funky few months in the world.” My friend Manon texted this advice to me today. She is right. A little patience and a lot of kindness to yourself and to others during these unusual times will go a long way.

Am in my living room right now looking at these pretty flowers in that white urn I found lying around. The urn works (see Flower Power highlights for backstory). Thinking on who I might send one of these bouquets to today as a little act of kindness. Still working on the patience piece of her advice! 🤪 Who might you send flowers to? How can you be more patient with yourself? Happy Saturday!
