Manhattan Kitchen

October 29, 2019

A Manhattan kitchen built for entertaining in the city that never sleeps. It’s so hard to imagine that in a city like Manhattan, kitchens like this exists. This large kitchen is the centerpiece of the home. This is the perfect space for elaborate dinner parties with good friends designed by Elizabeth Roberts. I can only dream about throwing a gathering here.

A wider view of the space shows off a gorgeous dining area. The triangular table is visually interesting and adds a new shape to the space. The chairs complement the table well and add a nice contrast to the space to keep it from being too white.

Next up is a cleverly hidden fridge and a tasteful bookshelf area. I love the built-in shelving. The books add a nice pop of color and a personal touch of the owners. The cool wood flooring looks amazing in this space and adds a nice pattern.

The black window frames add in the perfect amount of shadow to the kitchen. While the green plant adds a delightful pop of color and nature. The gold hardware is minimal and catches your eye.

This view really allows the marble backsplash to shine. It was a great idea to do the full space in marble to add emphasis. The dark details in the marble add an exciting flair to this kitchen.

This kitchen is the epitome of an all-white design taken to the next level. The black, gold and bold marble layer together beautifully creating a space that is bright yet, multidimensional. The addition of white and paneled appliances adds a nice touch that keeps the gold from being overwhelming.

The island is what makes this kitchen such a great space for entertaining. There is the perfect amount of space for gathering in the kitchen while food is being prepared. Black bar stools were the best decision for this kitchen. They look amazing in contrast to the dark windows.

This view of the kitchen really highlights what incredible light this space gets. The white cabinets glimmer and shine with that lighting. The choice of mixing white porcelain and brass knobs on cabinets mixed with the long brass pulls is an interesting one.

The biggest design move in this kitchen is of course that striking white marble with the bold blue veins on the countertops and backsplash.  The marble adds the texture that this all white kitchen needs.  Love the herringbone pattern wood floors along with the white Bertazzoni range.  All work perfectly.

The brass sink and pendant light fixture add the perfect pops of glimmer without being too much. I love the addition of a wood cutting board staged in the scene for warmth and texture.

The gold hardware on the dishwashers adds a nice pop of warmth. I love the decision to do gold hardware just on the appliances. The stacked upper cabinets are unusual  – you don’t see that very often!

What I like about this kind of kitchen is that it is plain white, simple and so neat. I love the combination so simple but elegant.

This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris wa This 300m² Haussmannian duplex in central Paris was designed to function as both a home and a gallery and the distinction between the two is impossible to find.
Every room treats art and objects with the same weight as furniture, nothing is decorative for its own sake, everything is placed with intention.
The Haussmannian bones, ornate cornicing, herringbone parquet, original stained glass ceiling, stay intact throughout. Natural and handcrafted materials do the rest.

This new collection feels like such a beautiful evolution. Inspired by their Manhattan Flower District showroom, it brings together the romance of classic decorative arts with a fresh, modern perspective in a way that feels bold, artistic, and incredibly thoughtful.
If you are attending ICFF 2026, make sure to stop by Booth W1048 and experience Petal Promenade in person. Congratulations, Kristi and Wendy. This collection is truly something special. ✨
Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffe Ever wondered what it feels like to have the Eiffel Tower as your view? These 7 Paris spaces answer that — some hotel suites, some private residences, and each one framing it completely differently. 🫶
A gilded suite where it peers through silk drapes. A terrace set for breakfast with the Tower straight ahead. Contemporary apartments where open French doors bring it almost into the room. Classic Haussmannian grandeur on one end, sculptural modern interiors on the other; same iconic backdrop, seven entirely different ways to live with it.

This Haussmannian apartment sits directly facing N This Haussmannian apartment sits directly facing Notre-Dame on the Left Bank, and @double_g_interior_design designed the interior to match that setting without competing with it. ✨
The approach was deliberate restraint: restored cornices kept intact, stained oak floors, limestone tones, a mix of vintage furniture and contemporary silhouettes. Every choice earning its place. The light does the rest. Bouncing off mirrors, moving through the neutral walls across the day. 🔅

That level of control is what makes the result so specific. Rich materials, sculptural forms, cinematic lighting but nothing feels decorative for its own sake. Every detail was considered as part of one complete vision, and you feel it in every room. ✨
