For some reason I found these photos of a Copenhagen apartment decorated for the holidays very inspiring. I am feeling these days like less is more in all aspects of what I do. Here is a clean white walled minimalist modern home with a few design classics like a Saarinen table and some Eames chairs that is perfectly minimally decorated. Very Danish in feel (since it is in Denmark after all).
What I like most is the fabric hung on the wall with a Christmas tree printed on it…this in lieu of an actual tree is truly a modernist approach.
Dangle an advent calendar here, set a nice simple table with some snowflake ornaments over there and some holiday goodies for snacking on to the coffee table and you are done! Tah dah.
Food for thought.
My favorite item above is the minimalist Christmas tree!
Happy Friday! Happy Holidays!

A black and white holiday celebration? Depressing.
Okay, so less IS really more — in some cases! This isn’t my style, but I am completely wowed by it! Did we notice the stack of magazines, serving as a side table between 2 chairs? I’m all set for that, as I have stacks of old magazines I can’t bear to toss (Cottage Living, Country Home, etc.)
