Uhmmm. Must love New York. I was just there this last weekend visiting best of friend AM and my other best of friend FF who was on her annual holiday trip to the city. Everything in NYC is more grand, more innovative, more chic, more busy, more exciting, more cutting edge than any place in the world I have ever been. Every time I visit I enjoy the spectacle of the city. Follow me on @cococozy on Instagram to see bits and pieces of my visit.
Anyhooo…New York is known for innovation and unique design so it doesn’t surprise me to have hunted down this water tower apartment owned by reputed NYC jeweler Lee Siegelson and his wife Lili. This two-story penthouse is a converted space that took the 17th floor of an Upper East Side building and married it with the 18th floor space in the building’s water tower. The space was designed by Olson Kundig Architects and it is spot on fabulous! The building’s water tank is enclosed in a brick structure…under that tank filled with thousands of gallons of water sits the top floor of this two-story penthouse. The architects kept the brick exposed, exchanged aluminum windows for arched steel windows, created a glass, leather and steel staircase and added many other industrial touches to the design.
I would be happy to call this space home! Take a look.
Let me know what you think!

There is so much that most of us will never see that it’s great to get this small glimpse of private NYC. I love the image of the bedroom looking out on the small lawn. Ahhh….fantasy!
