The Grecian Home Interior
Filled with warm-wood furniture and natural light, I see how this house was the perfect serene place to write and relax. No need to go crazy with decor as their book collection is perfect for reading and to add to the overall ambiance.

A view of the infamous couple’s living room, which doubled as a library. Here you can see their large book collection, along with a stunning view of the garden outside.

A fun fact about this dining table is that Patrick Leigh Fermor designed it himself!

The desk of Patrick’s wife Joan, who first came to Greece to photograph the country for the British Council.

The Exterior
The home’s exterior is subtle yet stunning, the porticos are a classic European feature surrounded by plush greenery. The garden and terrace are the cherry on top of an already breathtaking view.

The living room leads out to the charming garden terrace that faces the Messenian Gulf.

Next to the house is an upper portico, perfect to enjoy your early-morning coffee.

Leigh Fermor was not only an author but a stonecutter as well, creating ancient sculpture fragments for this outdoor patio overlooking the sea.
