TOP PUFFER COATS FOR WINTER

January 8, 2020
  • Share

What better way to prep for the winter season by covering all of the best puffer coat styles? Puffer coats have been in season for a while – but this year they are huge. The shorter style is perfect for throwing on anytime while the longer styles will keep you toasty in colder climates. I found so many incredible styles I can’t wait to share with you – from classic to wilder styles I cover it all. Check out the everyday influencers wearing fab puffer coats at Chirpyest Instagram too for even more real life inspiration.

First up are a handful of short style puffer coats. The first coat is a really unique combination of fuzzy, fur, and traditional puffer fabric. This a great option for those looking for a classic style but what some spice to their coat. The second coat is a gorgeous glimmering bronze color. This style still falls under a neutral but it’s not a traditional approach. This is a great style for someone looking for a coat no one else will have – and isn’t afraid of a little sparkle. The last coat is a simple shiny black fabric in a slim fit style. This coat is perfect for someone looking for something traditional with a slight twist. This coat will look great with everything.

Up next are more short puffer coats in a range of exciting styles. The first coat is a stunning deep purple. I love the more fitted style, the luxe fabric, and the high neck. This coat is very luxurious looking and would be a great option for work. The second option is a gorgeous copper/bronze color. This coat is a statement. It’s a bit puffier than the others and is all about the drama. It will look amazing with everything. The last coat is a deep navy. I love the fit of this coat. The thing that makes this style unique is the flared sleeves.

Last up for short puffer coats is a mix of fun and practical styles. The first coat is definitely a unique color and shape. The satin finish of the fabric looks great as a puffer and the silver metal accents are a nice touch. The second coat is a more practical style meant to handle some weather. White is fun way to keep your winter wardrobe from being too dark. The fur hood adds a nice touch of beige/grey. The last coat is a very unique style. This coat is a cross between a leather jacket and a puffer coat. Plus it also has some fuzzy accents on the sleeve and collar. This a great coat for someone looking for traditional with a twist.

If you are looking for something a bit warmer than a short puffer coat a mid-length may be the answer. These still have the fun of a puffer style but are more heavy duty for colder climates. The first style is a super simple black with a fur hood. This is a great basic with a touch of fun. Perfect for any occasion. The second coat is a more unique approach. The beige and plaid color is reversible – allowing you to change it up depending on the day/what you are wearing. I love the versatility of this coat. The last style is dark green with gold and black details. This again is a bit more traditional but still has some fun details.

For those who really want to bundle up this season, a long puffer coat may be the perfect solution for you. These styles look incredibly cozy and warm. It’s almost like being wrapped in a blanket they are so long. The first style is a classic black with a fur hood. A great choice if you are looking for something basic. The second style is a bit more original with two different shades of blue. This jacket is fun and super cozy looking. The third jacket is the most unique of the group. The shiny fabric and tie make this coat look very chic. This coat also has a bit of flair to the bottom for added emphasis.

Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles an Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles and fancy things to make your house a home. In this picture, a plant, two chairs I found at the flea market, a layered rug situation and some modern art...de-cluttered space can be equally as inviting as one filled with memories and treasures. If you are stuck with how to decorate, I say keep it simple. Purge and start with the basics. Full disclosure, this is a shot of my living room from a few years ago when I first moved in...I didn’t even have drapes up when this was taken. I have since added pieces and changed out furniture and added a 2nd sofa...but it started super simple and it was lovely back then. When the world is swirling around us and making no sense, how are you keeping things simple at home? #socococozy #bringstylehome #cococozy
Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last year. Clueless as to what was to come. Was in Paris, with my mom, enjoying her summer apartment in the middle of the 6th arrondissement. I had just left the U.K. visiting friends for a few days in London and the Cotswolds. None of us knew that this summer 2020 would be so different. Today, I can only hope this time of tumult and great divides leads somehow to a future of calm and harmony. Going backwards in time is not an option. Pushing forward is. Happy Sunday to you. Where were you last summer? Where do you imagine you’ll be next? Xoxo #socococozy #bringstylehome
Incredible living room before and after as designe Incredible living room before and after as designed by my good friend Steve Jones @bettershelter! I went on a tour today. I also went on a tour a year ago when he first got the house. See my stories. Swipe to see what this room looked like before. Life lesson from a room transformation: When faced with the daunting and not so pretty, look to do the work, and you can make changes to bring out what is good. Right? This home by the way is going on the market soon and is in one of my favorite parts of town, View Park. What changes have you made lately that have turned bad into good? #socococozy #bringstylehome #remodeling #homerenovation #californiadreaming

Am in my living room right now looking at these pretty flowers in that white urn I found lying around. The urn works (see Flower Power highlights for backstory). Thinking on who I might send one of these bouquets to today as a little act of kindness. Still working on the patience piece of her advice! 🤪 Who might you send flowers to? How can you be more patient with yourself? Happy Saturday!
