Workout Outfit + Style Inspiration for 2020

February 19, 2020
  • Share

They say working out is a lot easier if you have a new workout outfit to wear. And, I think it’s true. 2020 is here and with that comes new goals, resolutions etc… in order to get a running start on fitness goals for the year I’m covering outfits for a handful of different activities. Get ready to be drooling over some of these items – I may just need to refresh my workout wardrobe after this!

Shorts, Water Bottle, Tank, Jacket, Sneakers

For the casual workout pair a black biker shorts with a versatile black work out tank. Then pair it with a fleece zip-up like this one or a different hoodie/sweater. For an easy monochromatic look pair this with a white water bottle and training shoes perfect for any activity.

Hoodie, Scrunchie, Leggings, Sports Bra, Sneakers

For the class hopper versatility is key. Pair a legging and sports bra set with a sports hoodie – to be prepped for any environment. Most importantly always keep a scrunchie in your bag + a pair of multi-purpose training shoes. I love the idea of pairing mauve pink with a stone-like patterned hoodie.

Leggings, Scrunchie, Sports Bra, Long-Sleeve, Hiking Boots

For the hiker layers and proper footwear is top of the list. Comfortable and breathable leggings are a must. Add in a fun sports bra and a light 3/4 zip that easily can be tied around your waist later in the day. A killer pair of hiking boots like these are perfect for a seasoned hiker! Plus add in a lavender scrunchie in for fun in case it gets windy.

Hoodie, Long Sleeve Crop Top, Sneakers, Leggings, Sports Bra

For the pilates addict, a casual but fitted pair of leggings is necessary as well as the cropped style sports bra. Then add on a cute top. For cooler climate add on a sleek hoodie to add a layer of warmth. Then all is left is a comfy pair of shoes!

Leggings, Scrunchie, Sports Bra, Sneakers, Long Sleeve Crop Top

For the yoga obsessed, tight fitted clothing tends to be handy. Pick up cute leggings and sports bra set and pair it with a fitted tee or long sleeve. A scrunchie is a must to keep hair out of the way. These sneakers are perfect for running around. Plus this outfit is cute enough to run errands in after class.

Leggings, Zip-Up, Sports Bra, Headband, Long Sleeve

Avid runners need to layer up with practical gear. Leggings built for running and an extra support sports bra are the best. A thin long sleeve is perfect to keep warm and it layered beautifully under this zip-up jacket. There’s nothing worse than dealing with stray hairs while running. Pick up a chic headband to keep hair issues to a minimum.

Sports Bra, Sneakers, Crop Top Long Sleeve, Hoodie, Leggings

For weightlifters, functional pieces are important to avoid injury! Start with a thick legging meant to add a layer of support and a sports bra. This long sleeve crop top is great because it’s a tight fit and won’t get in the way. If it’s colder out layer up with a fleece pullover to keep the muscles warm. Then just pair with your favorite gym sneaks.

Sports Bra, Water Bottle, Sneakers, Fleece Jacket, Leggings

For the explorer, a fun and exciting outfit is perfect. This colorful look is just as exciting as the journey. The snakeskin leggings and sports bra are very on-trend and look fantastic paired with a pink + raspberry fleece zip-up and sneakers. Don’t forget a water bottle for the trip!

Can you repost the link to the stone-like patterned hoodie? It’s linked to another product x

Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles an Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles and fancy things to make your house a home. In this picture, a plant, two chairs I found at the flea market, a layered rug situation and some modern art...de-cluttered space can be equally as inviting as one filled with memories and treasures. If you are stuck with how to decorate, I say keep it simple. Purge and start with the basics. Full disclosure, this is a shot of my living room from a few years ago when I first moved in...I didn’t even have drapes up when this was taken. I have since added pieces and changed out furniture and added a 2nd sofa...but it started super simple and it was lovely back then. When the world is swirling around us and making no sense, how are you keeping things simple at home? #socococozy #bringstylehome #cococozy
Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last year. Clueless as to what was to come. Was in Paris, with my mom, enjoying her summer apartment in the middle of the 6th arrondissement. I had just left the U.K. visiting friends for a few days in London and the Cotswolds. None of us knew that this summer 2020 would be so different. Today, I can only hope this time of tumult and great divides leads somehow to a future of calm and harmony. Going backwards in time is not an option. Pushing forward is. Happy Sunday to you. Where were you last summer? Where do you imagine you’ll be next? Xoxo #socococozy #bringstylehome
Incredible living room before and after as designe Incredible living room before and after as designed by my good friend Steve Jones @bettershelter! I went on a tour today. I also went on a tour a year ago when he first got the house. See my stories. Swipe to see what this room looked like before. Life lesson from a room transformation: When faced with the daunting and not so pretty, look to do the work, and you can make changes to bring out what is good. Right? This home by the way is going on the market soon and is in one of my favorite parts of town, View Park. What changes have you made lately that have turned bad into good? #socococozy #bringstylehome #remodeling #homerenovation #californiadreaming

Am in my living room right now looking at these pretty flowers in that white urn I found lying around. The urn works (see Flower Power highlights for backstory). Thinking on who I might send one of these bouquets to today as a little act of kindness. Still working on the patience piece of her advice! 🤪 Who might you send flowers to? How can you be more patient with yourself? Happy Saturday!
