11 Dining Rooms With Black Chairs

October 13, 2019
  • Share

When I was designing the COCOCOZY design house I was so inspired by dining rooms with black chairs. I knew for the design house doing all black chairs would be too much but more on that later! I was inspired to compile all of these images in order to share my inspiration and hopefully provide some design ideas. There are so many different styles and ways to design a dining room around black dining room chairs. Let’s check these images out!

COCOCOZY DESIGN HOUSE  – DINING ROOM 1

share

I’m in love with the way the COCOCOZY Design House turned out. Without the addition of the black chairs, the room would not have enough contrast. The four black chairs are the perfect solution. I hunted low and high to find the perfect style and when I found these I knew they were it. The black on the light fixture, windows, and picture frames needed the chairs to fill out the palette. See more of the COCOCOZY Design House Dining Room!

DINING ROOM 2

This charming dining room is so cozy and rustic. The wood beams and the stone fireplace set the scene for this dining room design. The heavy wood table with the classic black wood chairs is a great pair. The wood table balanced the wood beams while the black chairs add a nice contrast to the space.

DINING ROOM 3

share

This elegant dining room is sun-filled and stunning. The mass amounts of windows and white curtains create the perfect backdrop for this dining room table. I love that the table has a white top and dark support. The black chairs are a beautiful design and very visually stimulating. Plus it keeps this room from being too bright.

DINING ROOM 4

This nook is just darling! Very simple furniture selections brought to life by decorative pillows and a chandelier draped in pearls. The bench around the corner is a genius idea to supply extra seating and make this corner more interesting. The black table and chairs look great next to all of the light colors and balance out the black window rims.

DINING ROOM 5

In this dining room design, there is such a nice relationship between the circular wood table and a more square-shaped chair. The wood table balances the wood beam and wood floors well while the black chairs add a nice pop of dark into the room. The bright white walls, gold light fixture, and blue rug look amazing with the table and chairs.

DINING ROOM 6

share

This dining room combines two different styles of black chairs to create an exciting design. I love the use of two different styles – one all black with metal legs and one with a beige seat section. The table mirrors the hutch well and the rug adds a nice rush of color + print to the space.

DINING ROOM 7

Cute cafe or breakfast nook? You decide. This space is adorable. the wood walls add a lot of warmth to the space. The black chairs add nice darkness to the color palette while the white table keeps it light and refreshing. I love the glass globe light fixture and circular table.

DINING ROOM 8

share

A warm and inviting breakfast nook meets dining room. This space is equal parts cozy and highly designed. The window really brings this corner to life. The corner wood booth looks amazing with a black cushion and the black chairs balance it well. The light walls and decor keep the black from overpowering the space.

DINING ROOM 9

share

In this dining room, the black dining room table and chairs are spotlighted since the rest of the room is white and light grey. The mix of beige and black on the chairs keep it from being too dark. The curved back of these chairs is so beautiful!

DINING ROOM 10

This dining room is very thoughtfully curated. The wall shelves add a ton of visual interest and make this room feel very personal. The choice to do a dark table with black chairs is the perfect solution to let the shelving area and the dining table shine. The light blue patterned rug complements the wood colors through the wall.

DINING ROOM 11

While these black dining room chair may technically be cheating since they have a beige wicker seat, these chairs are the perfect solution to finishing off a neutral palette. The relationship between the black fireplace, the table, chairs, and bright white background is sensational!

Here are an array of black dining room chairs perfect for updating your space. Depending on what space was your favorite there is a chair to match! My personal favorites are chair 2 and chair 5 but, it all depends on the room!

Thanks for being on the forefront of the black furniture revival! I love all white, but I also love a contrast, and black is so dramatic and sophisticated. 💗 Great inspiration!

They were flea market finds that I painted black. 🙂

Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles an Keep it simple. No need for bells and whistles and fancy things to make your house a home. In this picture, a plant, two chairs I found at the flea market, a layered rug situation and some modern art...de-cluttered space can be equally as inviting as one filled with memories and treasures. If you are stuck with how to decorate, I say keep it simple. Purge and start with the basics. Full disclosure, this is a shot of my living room from a few years ago when I first moved in...I didn’t even have drapes up when this was taken. I have since added pieces and changed out furniture and added a 2nd sofa...but it started super simple and it was lovely back then. When the world is swirling around us and making no sense, how are you keeping things simple at home? #socococozy #bringstylehome #cococozy
Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last Pre-pandemic throw back photo to where I was last year. Clueless as to what was to come. Was in Paris, with my mom, enjoying her summer apartment in the middle of the 6th arrondissement. I had just left the U.K. visiting friends for a few days in London and the Cotswolds. None of us knew that this summer 2020 would be so different. Today, I can only hope this time of tumult and great divides leads somehow to a future of calm and harmony. Going backwards in time is not an option. Pushing forward is. Happy Sunday to you. Where were you last summer? Where do you imagine you’ll be next? Xoxo #socococozy #bringstylehome
Incredible living room before and after as designe Incredible living room before and after as designed by my good friend Steve Jones @bettershelter! I went on a tour today. I also went on a tour a year ago when he first got the house. See my stories. Swipe to see what this room looked like before. Life lesson from a room transformation: When faced with the daunting and not so pretty, look to do the work, and you can make changes to bring out what is good. Right? This home by the way is going on the market soon and is in one of my favorite parts of town, View Park. What changes have you made lately that have turned bad into good? #socococozy #bringstylehome #remodeling #homerenovation #californiadreaming

Am in my living room right now looking at these pretty flowers in that white urn I found lying around. The urn works (see Flower Power highlights for backstory). Thinking on who I might send one of these bouquets to today as a little act of kindness. Still working on the patience piece of her advice! 🤪 Who might you send flowers to? How can you be more patient with yourself? Happy Saturday!
