$35 MILLION DOLLAR PUCK PENTHOUSE

January 14, 2015
  • Share

Atop the historic Puck building at 295 Lafayette Street in New York, this 5200 square foot 3 bedroom, 6 bath penthouse apartment is for sale for a mere $35 million dollars.  Last week, I posted a story about an $82 million dollar NYC home for sale…I thought I liked it…uhhhmmmm…well…I have changed my mind.  Last week’s might be a bit too modern for me…a bit too generic.

Anyhooo…the apartment is listed by real estate agent Nikki Fields from Sotheby’s.  Nikki, if you need someone to live in the apartment so that it has a warm lived in glow, I am happy to volunteer.  More than happy.

Here’s what I love:  the steel windows, the foyer with geometric pattern marble floor, the barrel vaulted kitchen ceilings with silver or stainless bricks, the view, the locations and I would want to keep the lighting in the living room and dining room.  Thank you very much.

Take it or leave this one?  You decide.

Happy Wednesday!

Old-world plasterwork meets contemporary furniture, and warm brown-stained wood quietly anchors every room. A conversation between heritage and modernity that never raises its voice. By @atelierdaaa 🤍

Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just Red rooms. No half measures, no accent walls. Just full, total, committed red.

Did you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-ÉlyséeDid you know one Sunday a month, the Champs-Élysées closes to traffic entirely?
No cars. Just people, walking straight down the center with the Arc de Triomphe ahead. Then I walked home over The Seine. It had just rained, and the sky was doing something extraordinary. And of course, the Eiffel Tower showed up right on cue.
Paris on a quiet Sunday is something else. 🖤

This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millo This St Germain apartment, designed by Félix Millory @felixmillory , is defined by two things: a tightly controlled material palette and a sculptural art collection that runs through every room without exception.
Travertine frames every doorway. Dark smoked oak covers the joinery and cabinetry. Grey marble runs across the kitchen counters and island. Within that framework, figurative sculptures on the shelves, a large totemic piece at the entrance, stone forms on the dining table, a large-format artwork in the kitchen. Every room has at least one object that demands your attention. 🗿
→ Save this if you’re designing around a sculpture collection.
