500 SQUARE FEET OF BEIGE – APARTMENT STYLE

January 13, 2015
  • Share

Best of friend AM has made it clear she does not like beige interior design.   I respect her design opinion so much.  She has been the sounding board for all my ideas for the COCOCOZY collection (which she likes by the way because it is not at all beige).  AM has expressed her distaste for beige so much that I am afraid to tell her that I am not sure I have anything against beige!  Oh me oh my…should I tell her that I might actually even like the use of beige in home decor if it is done right?

Case in point…this small one bedroom 500 square foot Stockholm apartment…I like it a lot and I think the beige is very soothing and stylish too.  In the living room, I like the beige flowing drapery, the cute compact beige sofa and the creamy beige walls.  Interior design in beige is not boring in this case…not at all!

Who says beige has to be bland?  In this case beige makes a small apartment feel quite sophisticated.

Do you all agree with me or agree with best of friend AM on the beige debate?

Happy Tuesday!

Yes, but here in the USA we usually do not have the great architectural detail of this apartment. I would need to add some red and a bit of black as I would never be able to move after being soothed. Great post! Mary

To me it looks all white to me and there is nothing at all wrong with that!

500 square feet is not very big but the all white scheme keeps it fresh! Very pretty!!
